The Geek Squad provided excellent service and advice during my installation.

TV was delivered and mounted. Later [3 days] I noticed that some speakers connections were not complete so only partial sound from them. The TV settings were made but the next day some shows did not appear to have HD quality. I looked at guidance info on YouTube and made adjustments. Now everything looks as expected.

They came, they set up, and they left. It was seamless and easy.

There are two reasons for the low rating. First, the installation technician arrived significantly later than scheduled, There was no notification that the appointment was delayed, nor any sense of concern when I called to inquire/complain. The BestBuy representative seemed to think it completely appropriate for me to wait 8 hours past the 'scheduled' arrival time. Then, once the installation technician arrived, he did not have the required equipment to complete the installation I had ordered/paid for.

These guys are wonderful! They are quick and good. They do a great job.

Best Buy sent a third-party installer (this isn't revealed to you at all during the purchase or installation process) who completely mismanaged installing a large TV over my fireplace. The end result was a TV which was half a foot off-center, a mount which was not properly installed or tightened, and damage to my mantle, since the installers left the heavy TV resting its weight on the mantle piece, angled down, and left gouges in the wood. I scheduled a follow-up appointment, which was handled by Best Buy employee technicians who were amazing. They were horrified by how poorly the TV was set up the first time, and had everything fixed and wrapped up quickly. I'd recommend checking with Best Buy to see if you're getting actual Geek Squad employees, or a third-party vendor who could care less about your or purchase.
