    A year ago this service was phenomenal. This time the quality of work and service were not close to a year ago. Cables behind mounted TV were not tight and close to TV as they were for the TV they removed. Other TV had cables EVERYWHERE for a simple add-on of Sonos Connect. As photo shows, Geek Squad made no effort to put cables behind the furniture as was the case before the add on. Compliments of the local store manager, he asked his team to submit an order for a re-do.

    I recently used Best Buy’s TV setup and mounting service, which costs $249 for delivery and wall mounting. However, I was disappointed with the overall service. It appears that the actual installation is carried out by a third-party contractor and bad communication between them and Best Buy, which may explain the low level of service provided. While the installation itself was completed, several issues arose. Many additional services—such as cable management or proper alignment—were not included and came with extra charges, despite initial impressions from Best Buy’s promises. Furthermore, the installers did not clean up the mess left behind from drilling, which was something I had expected as part of the service. For those considering this option, I would suggest exploring alternatives. Many specialized installation companies offer similar services at a significantly lower price, often for two-thirds or even half of what Best Buy charges, with potentially better customer care.

    TV was scratched multiple times and wall damages

    DO NOT EVER USE THEM. MY brand new 86 inch TV was scratched multiple times and extra holes placed in new painted wall. Service appointment was orders and they never showed up the 1st day. Company was called multiple times sat there for hours and stated that they were on their way and were coming before a certain time and never showed up or called back. Appointment was not re-scheduled until following week even though I told them I needed installed emergency that’s the only reason I ordered this service. It was for a business, and they still stated they didn’t have anyone to come. When they arrived they came late in the day. One of the guys who was mainly working on it , walked back and fourth to his car about 3 times. Correct mount was provided, it was double checked prior and also stated for TVs 56 and larger . They took very long , then also complained that the TV was very big and it needed more support. The TV size was already given at time of purchase. When they left I then realized that the TV was scratched multiple times and they were extra hole made in the wall. Company was informed of situation ASAP. This happened in December and no I’m still has yet to help me . They keep switching me between Best Buy and the insurance company. No one has yet to assist me and they have damaged my 86 inch TV . Do not ever use them to mount your TV. They will damage it and keep passing you around and not help you . Biggest mistake paying this company .I see multiple complaints now about them , so I am not the only one .

    I got a 65" Sony TV from Best Buy and I ordered a premium TV installation. I made an appointment on July 13th. Geek squad send a third party company(his name is Dave- he did not give me a business card or company name!) my house to install my TV mount. He came and checked my house and he told me that he needs more tools to do installation. He said he is coming back July 19th at 9 am. He came at 3 pm and he just installed TV mount. He damaged my wall for wire installation and he told me again he needs more tools to finish it and he promised me to come back next day. Next day, I could not hear anything from him and I called Geek Squad to make complain. They hold me almost 2 hours on the phone and hanged up on me. Next day, I went to Best Buy store in Salem, NH. I talked to geek squad manager and I explained everything. He called geek squad and they told me I got basic installation that`s why they did not finish it. I said I ordered premium installation and I told to Dave that too when he come my house first day. That`s why he did damage on my wall. Store manager told me that I have to pay extra for wiring and I paid it. He made another appointment and they send my house a geek squad technician. He checked my house and he said that he is not an electrician. He did not do anything and he left. I went back to best buy store again. I talked to manager and he told me that they made a claim about my damage. They have to fix it and after that they can do my installation. By the time, I had another service for installation my projector. I told them the story about my TV installation. They checked my TV and they told me that it is not installed really safe. It might fell from the wall and recommended me that do not touch the TV. I have 2 kids at home and that`s really frustrated me. I really do not understand that why my installation still not completed yet. After my purchase, almost 2 months passed and still I cannot use my TV!!!

    Ill start by they Left parts off of the mount and threw them away a bolt in bracket was not secured to tv just hanging in mount not attached asked them to put tv 6 inches above shelf so game system and sound bar would fit under mounted it 3 inches from shelf they threw away all extra parts to sonos mount so I cant put screw that fits in and attach my tv to mount refused to run hdmi cords or electric cords said it was a extra charge and I would need to purchase a kit from best buy first even though i had a kit from amazon and I would need to reschedule a install package again.. bad business all around

    Came Unprepared and Damaged my brand-new wall

    It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but the service I received from the tech, Best Buy, and claim department has been completely unacceptable. Several weeks ago a tech (outside contractors/ technician) came out to my house to mount a television in my media room. The technician came solo and told my wife that her partner was an hour away working on another job. While knowing that it takes them two people to properly mount the television- she attempted to install anyway. She mounts the bracket and asked my wife to assist. The technician at this time over-drilled the bracket into the wall - stressing the sheet rock and causing severe indentation in my brand new wall. When I arrived home not only I seen the wall indentation but scratches and marks damage caused by the technician. I took several pictures and called Best Buy the next day. They have been giving us the run around since. All we asked for is that our damages be covered and the service we paid for be completed properly.
