    Not High Quality or Expert - Botches TV Install

    Horrible customer service. No one called in advance to see what materials they would actually need for the TV install job. They showed up lacking enough cable covers or extension cords to make this a quality install, but of course I had no idea because I’ve never done this before and they are supposed to be the experts. They ran out of cable covers 1/3 of the way through the job, the cable covers quickly pulled away from the wall because the extension cords were too short, and they left me with big gaping paint holes in my walls And a pathetic unfinished installation that I am now trying to figure out how to fix. When I became upset at their obvious lack of preparation or knowledge, they quickly left and I’m left trying to figure out how to make this install work. If this is expert service, don’t waste your time.

    Geek Squad installed my TV

    The men we’re not professional. They have only been installing TV for 1 year. They did not know what they were doing. When they left the wires behind the TV we’re just hanging loose. The Best Buy tech I had before was excellent installing our TV. They sent these two unprofessional installers because my TV broke 2 months after I

    Installation of TVs was fine. They charged me an additional $150 to conceal power cord in the wall. Fine, I agreed to that but the cord they brought was too short. It was literally 3" long and would not reach the outlet, so I have to get my own cord. And, they asked if I wanted an HDMI cord installed with the concealed power cord. I agreed, as it sounded like it was included in the power installation. The guy didn't mention a price and I figured even if they charged me for the cord, that would be no more than $10... They sprung a surprise $50 charge on me for a 12" HDMI cord. Again, those are $10 in the store. That surprise extra charge and the fact their cord didn't even reach the outlet was disappointing.

    The two young men that came to mount my television were very friendly and meant well, but when they saw my gaming setups throughout the house, they became excited and neglected the task at hand... I was forced to leave the room, as one of the young men had to complete simple tasks over again because he was so focused on asking me questions about my gaming PCs. There are four holes left in my wall as they started puncturing the wall to mark the beam locations without first measuring the mount itself, which resulted in four holes that were unusable and I'll need to fill and repaint to repair... With this said, the TV looks great mounted, but I think I should have hired a more professional team...

    The Samsung 55” 8k tv has an additional separate box used for connecting additional HDMIs. They mounted it with the connections facing right so with a wall mount they stick out of the sides of the tv. The extra box also limits the movement of the wall mount

    Mounted too low, and then nothing was mounted in the wall. The cable box was mounted high so the wires stuck out the top of the TV. I had to redo it all. CS has given me the run around.. IF you are totally inept with tools, then they will do a "fine" job. If your a perfectionist and have tools. Save yourself the money and aggrevation. You can do it just as good if not better. I know I did.

    Tv mounting on wall is nice. Exposed wires and cable box is not nice. Previous dealings with geek squad was perfect. Everything was hidden behind tv. Not happy.

    Tech guy did not do a good job in hiding the cables to the behind the wall outlet. They didn’t even vacuum the dust from the wall molding.

    TV Mounts aren’t all the same.

    Made me buy a new TV mount claiming that the TV needed to hit 3 studs not 2. The mount was designed to hit two studs and was rated for a much bigger TV than what was being mounted. Now I have the task of taking the mount back to the store and returning.

    Yikes. Best Buy rep installed our sound bar. It was hanging off the wall. My wife told him it didn’t look right. He said “it ain’t going anywhere.” Later that night we were awoken to a thud. It fell off the way. So I did it myself.

    Did not show up for first and second appointment due to installers "personal issues, third - Maybe forth or fifth (lost track) came but was unprepared and could not complete and finally TV was installed and appears to be hung correctly but this was a very frustrating experience with numerous reschedules.

    The tv mount that was sold to me didn't fit the area we wanted the TV mounted in. They moved the TV lower to accommodate the mount they brought. TV is an 85" and is hung only @28" off the floor. Not to mention the TV isnt even close to being level. For $250 for installation, even tho I'm a best buy total rewards member, you MUST do better

    sent one person to install a 75 inch tv. I had to assist the installer. When he left the tv tilted (see photo). It was not properly mounted and they had to come back to properly install it. I had to take another day off of work to have it installed correctly. I would not recommend this service.

    The TV mount is not completed yet. It's tilted and cannot be adjusted back. The TV is supposed to be within the wall but it's sticking out. Waiting for the redo. It is very dangerous if it is not redone immediately but seems no one is trying to redo it on the date of appointment yet.

    my tv & mount fell out of the wall

    less than a week (6 days to be exact) after my tv was mounted it literally fell out of the wall. i bought a full motion mount so i went to move the tv only for the top 2 screws to come clean out of the wall. when the tv was being installed, i was told they had 2 of the holes in studs - that was false. i was told they're using butterfly anchors to keep it stuck to the wall - they used plastic anchors that came right out. it took me days to hear from best buy and i was only refunded the service (delivery, installation, mounting) fee and had to find and pay someone else to remount it. there was no offer to remount the tv for me, not that i would've accepted it after this debacle. no one I've discussed this with has ever heard of this happening and frankly, i have no inclination to be that special.

    The agent mounted my TV crooked and it took Best Buy almost a month to come fix it. It was a 3rd party the first time, geek squad was able to fix it quickly. But a month of dealing with a crooked tv is ridiculous

    Seriously?? $200 for install that takes less than 30 minutes—this timing includes delivery of TV, unboxing and mounting. The tech mounted the TV too high. He did ask me to lay in the position I normally watch TV but it’s hard to tell what’s comfortable for you when you’re staring at an empty wall. Long story short, when I was watching the TV after he left, my neck began hurting because I’m now having to look up at the TV, uncomfortably. I contacted the tech to let him know it’s too high and he did not respond when I told him my availability for him to come back and correct the positioning. I called Best Buy to rectify the issue and was told yes they can send another tech out to fix it, and I would be charged for this service. Excuse me?? Charged??? Again?! Are you kidding? Please save your money people. I can’t begin to tell you how angry I am I wasted $200 on a service that was not done correctly.
