Making it Right in Murrieta

A 2-star experience turned 5-star. In the past, I have received excellent service from Best Buy. Over the past decade, my family has spent nearly $25,000 at Best Buy, buying and installing a full Sonos home system, 5 televisions, 4 computers, and the various miscellaneous items from head phones to cables. I was seriously disappointed when Paula, one of the store managers who is very professional and empathetic, informed me that I would not receive a full refund for my television install return. It meant $100 and I was confused. When I bought my 6th television and insisted to bring my items home with me, I was told by Andrew and Alex (both excellent with customer service) that it was best to leave it at the store so the Geek Squad could pick it up and bring it to my home to install. I agreed, but I was reluctant. I would rather have the items in my possession. If they needed to confirm what was purchased, they could always look at the order number and review the items purchased. So I told Paula I didn’t really even want them to deliver the items, but I was talked into it. She apologized saying she understood and there was really nothing she could do. She asked me to call customer care to see if there was anything they could do on their end. So I did and spoke with Erin. They should call it “Customer Scare.” By the time I hung up, I was about 6 inches shorter. How is this person in charge of customer service. As one who spent 15 years working for Marriott Corporation as a young man and providing and knowing what great service is, I can honestly say Erin could use some empathy training. Nevertheless, while I was in the middle of writing this review, my phone rang and it was Paula, 30-minutes after getting home. She said she understood my situation and in fact found a way to refund me the $100. This practically brought me to tears after receiving a lashing from Erin in Customer Scare! In very strange times, I just want to say how much I appreciate people like Paula, Andrew, and Alex for being so kind and compassionate and for understanding people and trying to do the right thing. Thank you, Paula. I really appreciate you as a human being. You are the best! Keep up the great work. Today, Best Buy kept my business!

Installation satisfaction

There were some initial problems but the installer was efficient and solved it with my satisfaction. He was kind enough to stay until the task was completed. I highly praise his help. The cost of the installation which was initially covered under my geek squad plan. I think the $250 installation was a bit excessive.

Top Techs deliver, mount and set up !

They were prepared for extras we needed and had a great attitude. They stayed longer than expected in order to get the job done right! I really appreciated that!

Geek Squad did a fantastic job installing my TV

They are very professional and careful and management called before the appointment to discuss our specific needs. They installed our speaker mount under the TV also. Couldn’t be more happy with the service. Installed a box behind the TV that hides all the cables and feeds power back up to the TV. Great clean looking installation. I highly recommend Best Buy technicians. They know what they are doing.

Geek Squad installed my TV quickly!

He also took the time to make sure I understood how to work it for myself. He was knowledgeable, professional, and personable.

Great installation

Be prepared for a two-person job—it’s heavy and requires precise alignment. The technician were knowledgeable and provided swift installation.

Geek Squad TV/Display Setup and mounting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation of Samsung QNC85C 75 In NEO-QLED I installation was done to perfection met all my expectations , The Geek Squad guys that showed up were courteous and polite Fabian and helper did their job cleaned up after and made sure they answered any questions I had , I had done extensive research on the Products and service that I purchased so I knew what to expect based on BB Options and the specific needs of my install In my case I took down the existing tv I had and installed it another room before they showed up that saved over $ 200 in fees

Outstanding and Professional All the Way!

Both techs were experienced, highly knowledgeable, and respectful. It was evident from the start they wanted to do the job right. How refreshing! I’m usually uneasy when someone is in my home to do this kind of work but I had complete confidence that this team of professionals would make sure everything was done correctly. They listened to what we wanted and then meticulously assessed, made suggestions, and carefully measured to give us just that. I appreciated the care they took to configure the television to give us the best picture and sound for our room setup and the highest level of security. They programmed all remotes and even made sure the cables were bundled neatly behind our open-back cabinet. Such attention to detail is not something you typically see today. Phillip and his assistant were competent and professional from start to finish. Outstanding job guys! I am one very satisfied customer!

Geek Squad is Awesome!

We had a few bumps in scheduling but that was because my Best Buy salesperson messed it up. The installation went smoothly. Geek Squad guy was quick and efficient and he stayed awhile to show me how everything works. Big 5 stars!

Geek squad are my heroes

This was my first time with geek squad and my first time having a tv mounted to the wall. They were very friendly, polite and clean (even had booties for inside the house). They asked me how I wanted everything set up and put it all together for me seamlessly. They then showed me how to operate my new TV. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Jimmy and Andreas were fantastic and if I need support again with Best Buy I will definitely ask for help from the geek squad!

Geek Squad absolutely made the imstall fast and
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The two guys that came to install my new 77 inch Samsung TV and Sonus mount were very professional and knowledgeable. They called the night before the scheduled day of install to let me know what time to expect them and also called the next morning when they were about 5-10 minutes away. They showed up and i had the area cleared away and ready for them to do their work. They went straight to work measuring for the mount and getting it perfectly aligned and level. The mount is very nice and strong and bolted into the wall studs and is easily adjustable. They installed the part of the mount that attaches to the back of the tv and then the two guys picked the tv up like it says your supposed to and it just clicked perfectly into the mount that is attached to the wall. It seemed so simple but you could tell they had alot of experience at doing these installs and i couldn't be more happier that i chose Best Buy to do this service. Highly satisfied with the service i received.

Amazing Service

The Geek technician was helpful when I asked questions and explained everything making sure I was satisfied and comfortable with everything. Geek Squad Installed 75” TV & Sound Bar

The Best Buy Mount I purchased would not work correctly. The Geek Squad Team had a different mount the worked better and took my mount back to the store for a refund. Well worth cost for this install

Best service ever

New Sonos system

BEST SERVICE EVER!!!! Bram and Dusty were very courteous, easy to deal with and helpful. Bram went above and beyond making sure I was informed of every step of the way and to ensure my new TV looked amazing. He took extra time to manage the cords so that it was not an eyesore. He was up front and honest with me without trying to sell me everything. The install started off with a miscommunication with the pricing, which he quickly identified and and worked to resolve to my satisfaction. I truly felt he gave me all the tools to make informed decisions about my purchase/install. It is apparent Bram takes great pride in his work and ensured I was 100% happy with the install and the clean up before he left. After many terrible experiences with contractors, I had lost faith that anyone understood customer service and work ethic. KUDOS Best Buy for hiring Bram-he is worth 10 times what you are paying him!! Have already recommended he and Best Buy to several people and will continue to do so. Wouldn’t hesitate to call for service again-as long as you send Bram!!

Seamless installation process.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I opted for the Geek Squad membership since I had excellent service from them with a previous TV installation. The TV I bought was much too large to fit into my car, I decided to sign up for the service. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They also removed and took away my old TV and sound bar without a problem. I thought that since my old TV was 49” that my old TV stand would not bear the weight of my new 65” TV. I was delighted to learn from the installers that my new TV would fit the stand without a hitch. It helped that they were both Sony TV’s. They stated that even though the new TV was larger, it was probably lighter than my old one due to newer electronics. Since my new TV fit the stand, they didn’t need to install the new mount that I had also bought just in case the new TV didn’t fit the stand. They pointed out that since they didn’t need to install the new mount, I could return it for a refund. I was delighted to hear this. I found this type of honesty rare in that many times installers would just try to say that they needed to install the new mount. With the refund of the mount, I was able to purchase a 4K BD player, which I originally delaying until later.

They were quick and knowledgeable and made sure everything was working correctly when they left. Even helped me with a problem i was having with one of my other tvs in the house. Later that week i realized my ipad was not connecting airplay to the new tv. They came out right away and tried to solve the issue but it turns out it is a software glitch in the new Samsung. Jeff suggested i buy a Roku... he delivered it and installed that night after 7:30pm on his way home from work. No problems since. Thanks Jeff.
