Got this for a Canon 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens. This fit the budget perfectly, given the lens itself runs about $150. I usually have B+W lens filters, and the equivalent circular polarizer would be almost as much as the lens, which wouldn't make much sense, so this budget filter is great. May not polarize as much as my B+W but still gets the job done.

I bought this after hearing about how polorizers could make reflections disappear in water and how it intensifies colors, but after a while I stopped using it. You have to hit the exact right spot to get the reflections to disappear and while the colors do pop, it's just not enough to have me pull it out all the time.

Its a $13 polarized filter, it works great, fits great and allows you to spin the filter to adjust the polar angle. The optics are really nice ( Not Carl Zeiss Nice) but works for an average Joe like me. Can't go wrong for the price.
Now if I could just learn how to use my Camera!

I bought this in a hurry as I was out of state shooting a wedding and the UV filter I had on the lens failed me. The glass fell out and it was an Insignia like this, so I'm doubtful of the build quality in terms of longevity. Best Buy did not have a UV filter in stock but since I was shooting outside in bright sunlight I decided a polarizing filter would be fine as I wanted it primarily to protect the lens.
That being said, until the first one failed I was happy enough with it and so far I'm also happy enough with this one, I just hope it doesn't do what the last filter did.
I would argue it's a functional item in a pinch and is worth the cost....it's just not a very good item.

While I am not a pro (maybe someday!) I do need to have a system that works well because I do use it in conjunction with my design work. This filter has been very good and does what it is supposed to. I'd recommend it!

This was a decent filter for price. Make sure this is the size you need for your camera lens (check the lens it says it on it). I am not a professional but I liked this filter for photos in which the sunlight was too bright (such as sunset). It slightly darkens the photo so I do not have to deal with weird glare or camera prevents me from shooting due to too much brightness. Nothing extraordinary but it works as intended and protects lens from debris damage.

The filter cut down on reflections and warmed the light as promised. Not the best filter that I've used, but certainly nowhere near the worst either. You can't really go wrong for the price.

You really need a polarized lens filter especially if you have a Nikon or Canon. It makes all of your photos clear and full of color,

A circular Polarizing ring is great for removing sun reflections from things like water or windows. its easy to use. Screw it on your lens and then just twist it to the desired amount of polarization you want. It also makes the Blue in the sky blu-er when taking photos of sunsets or clouds. And a bonus, it will help protect your lens.
