Very happy with purchase!! Love Best Buy products and their staff is always amazing!

I am not into all the smart, 3/4D TV hypes...I just like a good clear picture playing TV. Which is what I got. I like the size and the quality of picture, its really nice to me.

This tv was a rush purchase. The price was good. I read reviews and they were mixed on the resolution quality. I can say this is currently being used in my living room and as soon as someone needs a TV and I'm ready to buy a 4K SUHD this tv is theirs for the taken. Very grainy picture especially when there are dark scenes.

This is a great tv!! idk how you could possibly beat it for the price.... if you want a big tv and are not super concerned about picture quality/sound/etc (not that it is bad at all, its not) then you should certainly get this tv!

I'm not sure what everyone else is seeing in all these reviews. I was coming from a 10 year old Samsung LCD which, at that time, was 1400$ and their top model. That tv had a much better picture than this thing. I attempted to calibrate it to get the most out of it using my Xbox one's built in calibration tool. No go. This tv doesn't even possess some of the necessary settings you need to adjust to calibrate it properly (e.g. HDMI black levels, blue filter). Maybe my expectations were too high based on all the rave reviews, and the fact I was coming from a once expensive Samsung model? I guess you really do get what you pay for.

Before I bought this, my main TV was a 39" Insignia. I loved it but wanted something bigger so I got this 55" Insignia. Now, this is in one living room and the 39" is in the other living room and we love them both! The picture and sound are both great! I must admit that I don't use the sound on the 55" a whole lot because we have a surround sound, but when we do use it, it sounds very good! We are going to buy this TV again so that we can have 55" TVs in both rooms! I don't know that I will ever buy a different brand than Insignia - plus the price point is awesome!

Don't get me wrong the $299 price tag is quite phenomenal for this TV. However it looks like for a $150 upcharge you can get a UHD 4K smart TV with a a much better picture from a couple other brands. I would have given this TV one star for the lack of clarity in the picture compared to other TVs on the market but at the lowest price point in the market I'd give it 3 stars. Bottom line if you looking for a really basic TV with just enough quality to make it bearable it probably a good buy.

Great tv! Beautiful picture! Can't speak for the sound, we have ours hooked up through surround sound. Very happy with purchase!

We got this TV on a Black Friday Special, so far is a very good picture, the sound could be better, but the price was awesome.

Not expensive, great quality, amazing full size screen. Trust me I´ll upgrade to a biggest screen and will be Insignia again.

Bought tv over a month ago. Pleased with picture color and clarity. Not bulky and looks very sleek.

I've waited a week before writing this review and typically don’t write reviews but have always enjoyed reading them as research when looking at products. However, based on my experience with Best Buy customer service after purchasing this 55” Insignia TV at the Perimeter Mall Best Buy in Atlanta, GA, I feel the need to post this as a warning. I can't really tell you if this particular Insignia 55” TV is good or not since it never worked for me but I have another 55" Insignia TV I purchased 2+ years ago and have always enjoyed that one. My complaint is with Best Buy policy and customer service. I have spent $1,000's of dollars at Best Buy over the last 20 years which included purchasing TV's, laptop computers, printers, routers, hard drives, etc. with no complaints and I don't remember ever returning a single item. My family recently purchased a townhouse two hours from Atlanta to use on weekends. We purchased this TV on Labor Day and I took it to the townhouse the following weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't have cable setup yet so I took it out of the box and set it up on the stand then threw the box away with no worries that it wouldn’t work based on my past experiences. The cable was hooked up the following week and when I went back down the follwong Friday, I hooked up the TV and turned it on. The middle of the screen appeared to have an internal crack on the side, no damage to the external screen, and the bottom half was completely distorted. I had thrown away the box the following weekend so I put it in the back of my SUV to bring back to Best Buy where it was purchased. Apparently the back got a scratched while transporting it which they quickly pointed out as physical damage. When I returned it to the Best Buy 13 days after purchasing it to swap it out for the same TV, I was informed that they will not take it back because it had physical damage. When I pushed the manager on that and point blank asked him, “if I buy a TV, take it home, take it out of the box, turn it on and it had the same damage and immediately bring it back within the hour, would you swap it out”, his response was “NO”. Their policy, which I wasn’t aware of, is you can have them open it up, test it before you leave and box it back up, but once you leave they will not take if it does not work, you have to deal with the vendor. I did call Insignia and the agent submitted a case and said since it was within the 15 days, Best Buy should take it back and was surprised they would not. Since they use the Geek Squad and Best Buy for service, I was back to dealing with Best Buy. Bottom line, while I hate to throw away $350, the money is not that big of a deal, it’s the principal. If they care so little about customer service and are willing to lose a 20-year customer, my brother and many of our family and friends over a $350 TV, then so be it. There are too many other options today between local stores and online to give them another cent of my money and based on the number of family and friends who will no longer shop at Best Buy, they will lose many more $1,000s in the future. My warning to anyone reading this, be careful with purchases at Best Buy. According to the local manager here in Atlanta, their policy is if you walk out with it, get it home and it doesn't work, too bad, they won’t take it back. They would rather keep your money then keep you as a customer!

Great TV but after 5 yrs it went up. The picture changed purple.

I love this TV. Very user friendly and easy set up.

Picked up this 55" led tv during Black Friday sales because we just needed an extra tv for my husbands mancave. We really weren't looking for anything that was top of the line specially not for the money we wanted to spend but we were pleasantly surprised. Picture is really clear and crisp. Definitely a great deal!

The TV is decent especially for the price. The stand is terrible. I'm sure the goal was added stability, but the feet are so far apart it requires a very wide stand. The other option is wall mount. Neither of those options is preferred in my case. Most other TVs have a stand located in the center of the base and there is a reason why.
