Good color for basic TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried a sound bar for better volume, LG sound bar was great, the 55 inch TV is slow at 60hz so you would see people talk and voices would lag the pictures. I suggest spending a little more money and buy 120HZ TV to avoid this problem. I guess it is part of the learning curve on buying a TV. It's hard to trust people selling anything at Best Buy.

Insignia TV's are a Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my 4th Insignia TV purchase, the prior three were a 24", 33", 43" LED's. These house brand TV's offer a great bang for the buck and I keep looking for reasons that I should pay more for an 'upgraded' brand and can't find one. The 33" is a daily TV for myself, the 43" is a daily TV I bought my mother as a gift to replace her old Tube TV, and this 55" and my other 24" are secondary TV's only seeing occasional use. We only use them to watch the typical TV shows, sporting events, and movies. No gaming, no intense SIFI or action movies w/a bunch of special and sound effects (we are old and boring). In bigger rooms, pair the TV's with an Insignia sound bar and you won't be disappointed.

If you're looking for a decent, reliable tv without all the bells and whistles you can't go wrong with this tv! The picture can be a little pixelated at times and the sound quality isn't stellar but I added a sound bar I found on sale for under $50 and it's like I'm in a movie theatre. Overall very pleased with this tv.
