Our previous family room TV was Insignia brand flat screen that lasted us many many years. When it finally started failing, I went to Best Buy and looked at several other brand TVs. When I asked if they still had the Insignia brand I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the price. I immediately said that this TV was the one I wanted. We have had it now for several weeks and we are extremely happy with the television.

Insignia has never failed us in over 7 yrs

We do keep them stationary, use recommended mounts, and cables. We researched and wanted enough of "tv" to get a great picture but not pay too much for features that are realistically unable to be seen. Do your research you'll understand, Tv gives great pic on hd movies, channels, and speakers are enough for a small/average living room.

Solid deal for the money

That is all I wanted and for that purpose and the price, it's a SMOKIN' deal. I've been using insignia for years for office tv's, bedrooms, outdoor, etc. These tv's are perfect for that. The picture quality is good, not great but as long as you are using it as I stated you'll be happy, if you are setting up a home theatre and want to use this, keep shopping. All in all a great product for the price. I definitely recommend this TV!!

I purchased one 55 inch and two 40 inch models. The 55 inch and one of the 40 inch models worked perfectly. The other 40 inch made a high pitch squeal. It would not be noticeable if it were not for the fact that the display does not have any audio. I returned the defective 40 inch and exchanged it for another. I took it to the office and had the exact same noise. Repeat and finally on the third try all is good.

Nice TV

The 55" is about perfect for the room I'm using it in. Very nice picture. Sound is OK but I am looking for a sound bar and subwoofer. Just like the sound to come from behind me, not just at me from the front. Didn't want a smart TV because of what I've been hearing about hacking them. Had all the peripherals anyway. After 3 weeks, I am happy with my purchase.
