The best bang for the buck 4K smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After going to the store several times, read a lot and comparing different brand's picture quality, I decided to go with this TV since over 400 it's too much for a TV IMHO, guitars are a different story ;-) It's 4K, it has Dolby Vision and HDR and the frame is not intrusive. Setup was easy, needed to wait about 20 minutes to get all the updates, now including Apple AirPlay alongside the built-in Chrome cast so now I almost don't use my Apple TV device. Great picture quality, when watching Netflix and Amazon's prime HDR series it just shines. Sound quality is decent, but since I have a Vizio soundbar, I just hooked an optical cable from the output in the back and everything I see on the TV is amplified through the soundbar. It turns on very quickly, the remote control is intuitive and the reaction is fast when pressing the dedicated buttons for Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. I don't think is anything better that this TV in this price range, I got for $ 319+tax. Cheers!

Not sure if there is a truck to the V series or if my cable has to be different. Frustrating. We bought a 40 in for my daughter in the same day and her SmartCast menu works.

Smart Tv is DUNB!

Why purchase a smart tv if every time you use smart apps you left with no picture or sound. Screws entire tv up. Went wo TV for week and now tv still not working right. We fear ever using any apps so now we left w basic tv that won’t even turn off correctly. And Best Buy says we have to have serviced multiple times before they replace? Bulk crAp. I purposely purchased Vuzio over any Asian brands and sorry I did

TV doesnt last

Last week the left bottom quarter of the tv started flashing which is really annoying. I called Vizio they had me turn it on and off and said it cant be fixed I have to buy a new one. Then the remote with new batteries also stopped working. They explained with the new technology in tvs today they are not built to last more then 5 years. I didnt get 5 years. I called them again to see if a different agent had a different story but nope again I was told to buy a new one. In my family we have TVs that are way older 30 years and still work. I wont buy Vizio again. They are only interested in telling you to unplug it, then replug it and if still flashing or remote wont work just buy a new one. Money Bottom line nothing more.

Waited 5 min turned it on and BAM, white line running down the screen. Could have sent it to Vizio for a refurbished tv but would have had to wait close to a month for the new one.

WASTE OF RESOURCES

What does a TV has to do basically? Play a TV show right? ? Well it can not do the only thing it was designed to do. And I just bought it. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE!!! I know its 55 inches and very cheap, but there is a reason to that trust me!

Poor picture quality poor geek squad.......

No matter what picture format combination you try you cant get rid of it... Plus the HDR is crap.... Called geek squad and they're useless.... Simply put....you get what you pay for... Save up a $1000 and get an expensive Tv... Or stay away from vizio....
