Very happy with this purchase. Sounds great and gets very loud. This is used for regular TV watching, movies, and streaming music. The only thing I do not like about this system is the subwoofer. The subwoofer sounded awful out of the box but after using the built in microphone to calibrate the system it now sounds "okay". Saw a few people say the subwoofer sounded great to them but I have owned a few surround systems over the years and this one ranks dead last imo. The speakers themselves sound great! Little bulky but sound is very nice. Zero complaints about those. Saw a few people say there isnt enough wire and I had just enough for man cave living room. If your area isnt huge and you aren't running it behind your couches then you should be fine. Receiver itself functions like you would expect a yamaha should and thats great. Automatically turns to the correct input and displays the correct inputs name. Very happy with it. The system goes up to 97 and I watch my movies around 80 which is very loud and movie theater like. It doesn't have wifi but why does every media accessory need to have wifi? My TV, xbox, bluray player can all connect to netflix without my yamaha receiver needing to. To get sound like this for under $400 is hard to beat. Picked this up on sale for $379 and would definitely recommend it for the price.

While not the most expensive, it wasn't the cheapest either. If you are looking for a cheap-ish surround sound system, you can do a lot worst. The subs are kinda weak and you have to play with the setting a little but over all, you get what you paid for.

I love this system, it has great sound and great bass for my needs. Would recommend to anyone.

We bought this for our "movie room" in our home. It works great and was fairly easy for us to hook up (the wires previously run in our home did not have labels so we had to guess once or twice before finding the right connections). It has a lot of different listening options; just remember to adjust for what you are watching/listening to. Not all movies are made for 5.1 surround so it takes a moment to find the best setting to hear dialog best from the center speaker. We enjoy using this in our home - no complaints!

I was looking to get away from the sound bar systems on my 4k TV. I have had 5.1 surround before and liked it. I came across this Yamaha system and could not believe the great price. I did not think it would be as good as it is. It has 4k pass thru and a speaker sync system that works well. You will have all the sound levels you will ever need (unless your 17) and the clarity is very good. I have a hearing disorder and this system is better than the systems I have had at ten times the price. Try it you will like it.

Needed a quick sound system for a new TV I purchased. The sound is good quality for the moderate sized living room. Was easy to setup.

I'm not what you would call an audiophile but I definitely appreciate great sound when I hear it! The sound quality from this sound system exceeded my expectation. For the money, I was not expecting such deep and rich sound. I like the fact that the subwoofer has its own power source meaning more power goes to the other speakers. Before I had to adjust the sound level between speaking and sound effects but this system seems to sepperate and level out the speech from the sound effects. Over all a great buy!

Overall great. Only two things, bass seems a little low, even with it boosted, and not enough speaker wire with the unit isn't front and center.

We have owned Yamaha sound systems in the past and this is a good one too. It sounds great and wasn't too hard for my husband to set up.

I am pleased with this home theater system it has great sound easy to setup and operate. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Easy to install, it has some nice setup features as well as a diverse sampling of sound options. Sound quality is solid...

For a Home Theater in the Box and priced on sale. You cant beat it. Sound is good, Base is decent, no issues out of the box.

I debated for months whether or not to purchase this item. Im glad I finally went with my gut to purchase it. It's definitley the best HTB I have purchased. The sound is great if you are just looking for good sound. If you are looking for extremely good you will need to spend more money. It's perfect for what I need. I read reviews ab out needing a wire cutter. Yes, you do, however I am a woman and was able to do it just fine using a knife. Yes, it was frustrating but it worked.

Excellent surround sound, being my first HT did some research and bought Yamaha 4920UBL after reading the reviews. So far the sound is great, and I am impressed with my movie watching experience with this HTIB.

The sound is incredible. It felt like i was in the movie theater and enjoyed feeling the rumbling of the subwoofer

Item sound quality is very very good, hence, that's why I gave it an extra star. The set up is another story, it was a bit difficult as the wires did not come precut. Kinda pricy as well and you would also expect the item to last do to the price itself, along with it being from Yamaha, that wasn't my case. After long set up, within five minutes of use, one speaker had already blown out. Volume on the product was barely at half by the way. So all in all, no I would not recommend this product.

I was surprised how great this sounds. I also love how "smart" this receiver it. I automatically switches the audio and video input if it is set up properly!

It's simple to set up; the package includes wiring for the speakers. Very good sound. Definitely a five star.

Bought this open box at a great cost. While the speakers could be better they get the job done. The receiver however its pretty cool with a ton a features.

We bought this to replace our old Sony all in one system. So much better sounding. And the bass is great
