In the past I've purchased the Home Theater in the box but chose to go this route because I wanted (and purchased) a 4k player. Setup was easy (as long as you follow the directions). The package comes with about 100 ft of speaker wire which was enough but depending on room size, you may want to purchase more or better quality. Still learning the ins/outs of the system but loving it so far.

For someone who wants to buy a home entertainment system but cannot afford an expensive one. This system is worth buying.

The system I bought had the receiver and speakers. It had easy to follow instructions for speaker setup and included all wires needed for installation. Very nice set up.

The sound offered through these speakers is outstanding. Especially the bass.

We were thrilled to get this bargain on the home theatre system. Customer service was excellent! They gave us speaker wire too. The system is loaded sound is excellent. Connecting without a remote is impossible, but they were able to mail us a new remote! Completely satisfied for the bargain price of open box!

Purchased to replace a KLH (Best Buy's old house brand) entry level surround system. It had no HDMI connections and couldn't decode my Blu Ray discs. Price was right. Only this I dislike is if I run cable box and bluray into a/v then output to tv I can't watch tv or bluray without a/v being on. I thought pass through meant when while it was off. But I still like it.

I bought an open box system for $200 w/o the center channel. Receiver & Subwoofer is good quality with nice sound overall. The satellite speakers are underwhelming and weak. The system is in my guest bedroom so is definitely sufficient, but had to buy some Polk audio bookshelf speakers to compliment instead of the yamaha satellite speakers. I'm now satisfied.
