I bought this home theater system a month ago and was very impressed with the audio quality and it's ease of installation. After using it for a couple of weeks, I found an issue, that the INPUT mode get automatically switch to Audio1 when playing FM/bluetooth for about 20 to 30 minutes. I powered OFF/ON the system and it kept doing the same thing. I took the receiver to the Best Buy Geek Squad (within the Best Buy store) and I explained the tech about the issue. The tech played FM for about 10 min and was told he found NO issue, even though I said the issue happens if you play it for 20 to 30 minutes. The tech's attitude was not pleasing at all. He insisted to return the product. I went home and brought the whole system for an exchange and the girl at the customer service was very helpful and got another piece of the same model. I will hook it up shortly and check, then I will post my review again. Well, overall this model is good, but I wish at least it last.

First box I got had a blown speaker but bestbuy returned it and gave me a new box. The sound is awesome. The build of the items seem well made and not cheap. The reciever is nice. All around would recommend.

Great sounding inexpensive system but no DVD Plyr.

My home theater system was getting old so I replaced it with this one. It's great and looks good in my living room. I was surprised with the sound quality and how easy it was to hook up.

Before setting my eyes on this Yamaha product, i did lot's of research and found few good home theater systems. Those were good for movies but did not sound great with songs. But this system is great with both. Bought it about 7 months back and it has been working perfectly fine. An amazing home theater system at this price.

Sound quality=excellent, event with using the virtual surround sound set up. My only compliant was that you have to use a CD to download the user manual, rather than providing a hard copy manual...very much not the norm. I was extremely impressed with the number of HDMI inputs offered; most systems in this price point offer a maximum of 2...which limits compatibility.

But its a little confusing on the wattage the box says 750 watts unlike the 650 its advertising. But the best thing is the surround sound, music on the system can sound better though.

The Yamaha surround sound system puts out excellent sound for the money. You could spend more, but this worked for our budget and needs. The additional HDMI inputs on the back really helped us with an older tv that only had 2 HDMI inputs. It is easy to switch between sources.

The sound quality is excellent and set up was super easy. I would recommend pairing this with a Harmony remote so you can have one remote to do everything you need, then you'll be all set!

For being a surround sound in a box, the sound quality is pretty good. The only thing I had a little difficulty doing was pairing a Bluetooth device to the AV unit itself.

purchased system 2 weeks ago tried for 5 days to get the Bluetooth to work failed call store to swap out receiver all good go to store and service guy tells me this isn't the receiver you purchased (basically callin me a liar or thief) I said your crazy open a new system up and check receiver of course Im right it matches receiver im returning come to find out Yamaha is promoting a different receiver than what is actually in the package regardless new receiver Bluetooth doesn't work either JUNK returning today and still no explanation on different model numbers than whats promoted

I had a $2000 Bose home theater system which failed after 8 years instead of getting it fixed I decided to buy this surround sound after reading the reviews.I was always a Bose fan but I can tell you this Yamaha system blows the Bose right out of the water.If your considering a Bose save yourself a lot of money and buy this Yamaha you will be glad you did.The sound is amazing !!!!

I've had no issues with the sound system so far. The only thing you'll need that isn't in the box are wire cutters and strippers. There was enough wiring to run the speakers in an average sized living room but if you want to hide the wires you'll likely need more than what's included. Considering what you get in the box though it's cheaper than buying everything separately if a 650w fits your needs.

It does exactly what I needed, no issues, and set up was a breeze! 10/10!
