This filter was a little tricky for me at first, as I had never used a filter before. There are actuallt 2 sizes to the one that I got, so I wound up going back to Best Buy to have an associate help me. After they did I was very pleased with the result.

This is a good basic filter that doubles as a lens protector. Purists may want to opt for a higher quality filter, but this seems to work just fine.

Use UV filters on all my glass as a little added protection, but I can't recommend these filters...they can create a wicked glare when shooting in direct or near direct sunlight (removing the filter removed the glare). I've recently replaced all my filters with higher quality/more expensive BW filters which cost 3x more, but I no longer have glare issues.

I had to contact Rocketfish technical support just to ask them how to detach the 62mm step-down ring from 67mm UV Lens Filter.

I bought this filter for a few reasons, but mainly because I wanted to protect the actual lens itself, and it certainly does that. Easy to install, completely clear, great quality photos.

Once you place the lens filter on the camera - the pictures seem to be more crips and no sun rays....All UV rays are blocked out...Love it....great accessory...

This is a good less costly product for personal or home use. If you are intending to use this for pro-photography you may want to use a better name brand.

I bought the UV filter to basically protect the lens and keep it dust free. It does its job well.

There is a big difference using a filter. In all types of lighting. I love this filter.

Invest in a quality filter. I had thought there was something amiss with my new D7000, or perhaps with my new, relatively high-end DX lens. Images were NEVER sharp, regardless of ISO, shutter-speed, aperture etc. Then as a last ditch attempt to resolve my issue before taking my camera/lens in for professional attention, I replaced this filter with a pro quality B&W filter. Rocketfish do NOT make a good UV filter, get a Hoya, Tiffen, B&W, ANY quality filter. Why spend hundreds (or thousands) on camera and lenses and then use an inferior filter?

Once you remove the step-down ring, the remaining thread does not link in with a Canon D60. It will keep falling off.

Does not have coatings to avoid reflections and was difficult to thread onto the lens.

I bought this Rocketfish UV Filter 67mm with 62 mm step-down ring. After i removed the step down ring and tried to put on my brand new Canon D60 and for my big surprise, it didn't fit ! I tried many times, and decided not to go ahead to avoid further damages on my camera. Piece of junk ! Now I have to return to Best Buy to return it.

Since this filter isn't coated, it increases the sun flares from what you get without it. It's not worth the protection if many pictures turn out poorly. You're better off buying a filter that's coated, preferably multi-coated, to reduce flare.

States that it is for a 67mm lens but does not fit my Nikon lens
