Cheap glass
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a cheap piece of glass with no uv value poor workmanship & would not recommend to anyone, do your self a favor & invest in a high quality ultra violet filter & not a knock off.

Overpriced cheap filter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works to just protect a lens from scratches. The item did not fit my lens since there are no threads to fit inside the lens rim. Similar filters can be purchased for much less.

UV Filter Great For Protection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very well made of metal, threads are tight to the lens of the camera. This filter doesn't do much for the photo it's self. But its better to scratch the filter then the lens .... So I use it for protection over the glass of the lens. Cheap insurance I would call it. And it's on sale.... Very fast and prompt service getting the order shipped. This filter is worth the price.

Effective Filter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no idea what these other reviews are talking about. I bought this filter to protect the lens on my Canon EOS 60D, and I couldn't be happier! Had no trouble threading this onto my 18-135mm lens, and it screwed on perfectly and held on tight and secure. Great deal at only $10, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants the peace of mind of protecting their lenses from scratches or dust through long term use.

Nice for protection at the right price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I believe that the price for this filter is very fair, because UV filters do not alter your photos, rather they are just for protection. It's much better to spend $9.99 on a new filter than replacing your lens for hundreds! The actual product is very light and sturdy, and includes the 62mm step down ring. (so you can use it on 67 and 62mm lenses) I highly recommend this filter!

Works for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can not speak for others but this filter does what it is suppose to do. It protects my lens. It fits perfect on my Nikon D3100 and I have never seen ghosting or flares in my photos. The only problem I had was my thumbprint from not paying attention to what I was doing.

For price, reliability and ease of use this is good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good option because it's reasonably priced, goes on in a hurry and protects your valuable lens. It serves it's purpose well. Rocketfish is a good bargain brand.

It's a filter, what can I say
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a filter,,, it protects the lens and filters out a bit of ultra-violet light. A lot of folks don't like using them with the premise that placing a piece of glass in front of their expensive lens degrades the image. I guess it does to some extent but I'd rather have my lens protected at the cost of a slight, imperceptible degradation of my image than risk scratching an expensive lens.

great basic filter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good first filter until you decided what kind of light you'll be shooting in in. Wish sales people would suggest lens filters to non "GEEKS" like me to avoid not having to make a 60mile round trip back to store,or wait over a week for online order,or going to a another store to get lens filter before using camera. Wish this "GEEK" knew how to download some of the wonderful pictures I took.

great filter for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only concern was getting to 62mm stepdown ring loose from the 67mm filter. I tried using a rubber jar opener to get it loose but that did not help. I finally had to use pliers to get it loose. Once I got it loose, the filter fit my camera perfectly.

Good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having general lens filter is a good investment in the health and well being of your camera lens. I would much rather scratch this cover than have my lens ruined as I run through the berry brush.

Serves my purpose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this lens filter more for lens protection when not using a polarized filter. I preferred the UV lens filter over clear to partially enhance the picture clarity.

Should be pulled from the shelves as defective
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am of the opinion that the first thing you should do with a lens when you take it out of the box is to put a UV filter on it. They go a long way in protecting your investment as even a cheap lens runs a couple of hundred dollars. I picked this up with my 60D kit to protect the 18-135 IS lens that comes with it. I figured that this lens wouldn't get much use so I wasn't concerned too much about quality and it was convenient to get the filter at best buy. Unfortunately, after removing the adapter and trying to screw it on, I had a really tough time getting the threads to match up. When the threads did catch it was REALLY tight and I was afraid to finish screwing it on. Hopefully in the process I didn't screw up the threads on my lens. I am not the only reviewer to comment on this either. Aside from not fitting, the filter is also uncoated, which will make it very prone to flare and ghosting. For about thirty bucks you can pick up a 67mm HOYA multi-coated filter that will perform much better and actually fit on your lens without ruining it. If you are the kind of person that likes to add artificial lens flare to your photos in Photoshop, and don't mind screwing your filter on with a pipe wrench, then this is the filter for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Even a cheap filter from a quality manufacturer will be MUCH better than this piece of junk.

Great addition to your camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know some people have reservations about using filters, but this was my second one because the first actually protected my lens from braking. So worth it.

The Protector!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This filter is use to protect your lens from scratching. Whats cheaper? A filter or a $300 plus lens? You will not notice a difference with the uv part.
