||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine for approximately 10 months. Now the cutting element won't stay on the motor and neither Best Buy (which I understand, as it's outside of the return policy) nor Phillips will do anything about it. As for the actual use, the vacuum leaves something to be desired and the angle of the blade is awkward.

Nice Little Unit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first foray into non-manual facial grooming so truth be told, I have little to compare it to. That said, so far it's a great little unit. It comes with 4 attachments that can do most anything I can imagine would be needed. The battery life is great and the fact that it has a built in vacuum makes for easy clean-up and less mass. In all, I would certainly recommend it both for personal use and as gift for the right person.

Does not work with thick hair.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everytime I use this (even for a small trim) I find the vacuum can't pull the hair in. I end up having to remove the guard and blade every 10-20 seconds to pull hair from the blade and continue. This has added about 10 minutes to my trims!

Worst beard trimmer I've ever bought
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hardly worked from the first trim. Weird, funky design. Pieces are hard to fit together and fall apart as it's being used. Jams a lot. Second and third trims were difficult to do. Fourth trim was impossible. The motor still turns, but it pulls out hairs by the roots and skips many hairs. Motor starts and stops as its running. I won't buy a Norelco trimmer again. Very poor design! Too bad I didn't return it during the return period.

Shaving with a massage gun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vibrations from when turned on it is like having a massage gun your hand while shaving and you're holding it against your face. Definitely not practical for prolonged use.

Does the job, but lacks some features/options.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This trimmer charges fast, holds a charge for quite a while and works well. It catches most of the trimmings, so less mess. It doesn't have many attachments and I do wish it had a nose hair trimmer attachment. Includes a travel bag that holds everything for those who are on the go.

Love Norelco
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always buy similar beard trimmers but this model has a slant that makes trimming hard as you have to hold it at a different angle. Would be awesome if not for that

Doesn't work exactly like advertized
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The trimmer is good, but I chose this version as it said it would collect 90% of the hair. It doesn't. It collected more hair when I first purchased it than it does now, but after a few month of owning it (and cleaning it often) it maybe collects 40% or less of the hair. So the sink it still needing to be cleaned a lot after trimming my beard. It would of been so nice for it to work like advertised, but now it's similar to what I was doing before. Cleaning the sink a lot.

Posted .Hi Simeon,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear the vaccuum of your trimmer isn't working properly anymore. There are a few things you can check to fix the issue:
- the hair chamber needs to be emptied more often. If you have a very long or dense beard, the hair chamber will fill out quicker. In this case, you may need to empty it during the trimming session to make sure the vacuum functions properly.
- the attachement is dirty
- the air slots are covered
- The trimmer is not used correctly
Make sure you move the beard trimmer against the direction of your hair growth. Always make smooth gentle strokes. This will allow your trimmer to efficiently suck in the trimmed hair as you go.
If this didn't fix the issue, or if you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (Philips) and Twitter (PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further.

Great beard trimmer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great little beard trimmer. I had to replace my old trimmer of 5+ years when the battery wouldn't hold a charge through a full trim. You get attached to a trimmer and its settings over the years so I was a bit picky about what I wanted in my next trimmer. I wanted to make sure my replacement had an adjustable head--not 10 different snap-on attachments. This trimmer has a decent range of twist-to-adjust trim heights. Easy to trim down to 2-day stubble or control a month of growth. The trimmer also has a "quick charge" feature that gave me plenty of power to get a trim in with only 5 minutes or so of charge time. You can also use it plugged in. I was thrilled to see that it uses the exact same power as my Philips Norelco Series 3000 electric shaver purchased 8 months earlier. (I grow a beard in the winter, goatee in the summer, and am bald on top...hence the desire for a trimmer separate from an electric shaver.) As for the features, the battery is amazing and the vacuum really does pick up about 90% of the stubble if you trim regularly. Not sure how much that really helps given 10% whisker spray all over the sink is just as much mess to clean as all of it. I don't get fancy with my grooming so I don't really need the precision trim tools that are included (along with a drawstring travel bag to store the trimmer and accessories). There is also a little brush tool and a weird, foam Q-tip device. I have no idea what it is for. I definitely recommend this trimmer for normal, regular use.

Does the Job Well Enough
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Philips Norelco 7000 Series Beard Trimmer comes with all the attachments you need for a good ‘close’ to medium length beard. The hair vacuum works well with the full beard trimmer attachment, though not as well with the edge attachment - which extends out for great control, but leaves too much of a gap for optimal hair collection. The beard trimmer is comfortable to hold in your hand and to be able to adjust the desired length with a large, easy to turn and read dial. Take note: the trimmer on its lowest setting is very close. It’s recommended you start at the longest length and work down from there. The hair collector can be a bit tricky to get completely cleaned out - the beard trimmings inside the plastic collector creates static so the hair just sticks inside. But the trimmer comes with a decent size/shaped brush to get the bulk of it out. Overall, I would recommend this Philips Norelco 7000 Series Beard Trimmer for men having a thick beard with hair more on the straight side. It did not work as well with my wavy, and in some places, messy/wispy beard. However, the battery holds plenty of charge to last during a shave, and recharges quickly enough.

I’m gonna miss my barber…
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially, I was wholly skeptical about this Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer. I’ve owned at least a dozen of these trimmers over the years to keep my beard from going all ZZ Top, and I’ve only had one that I was completely happy with, until now. First off, the claim that this trimmer had a built-in vacuum that captures 90% of my hair, definitely caused some eye rolling. However, after using it, I would like to formally apologize to P/N for my skepticism, because this trimmer totally captured 90% of my hair! Comparatively, there was very little hair in my sink, and a ton of it inside the trimmer. The adjustable guide system on this trimmer is convenient. No more trying to figure out which guide is best for which task; just turn the guide dial on the trimmer, it displays the setting you’re currently on. This trimmer had a very low learning curve, I got my beard exactly how I wanted it on my first attempt. This trimmer trims my beard as well as my barber does. It cuts evenly and smoothly; my beard looks fantastic, and it only took a few minutes. For the record, my beard has very curly and coarse hair, and this trimmer handled it beautifully. Honestly, I have no need to return to the barbershop (other than to talk sports and politics), and because of that fact, this trimmer will pay for itself in no time. Highest Recommendation!

Not for people of color
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would be nice if the label said "Not for coarse hair"......soooooo basically if you are a person of color you might need something alot more stronger. Does the job well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this trimmer for about a month now and it performs the job well. There isn't much to say about a trimmer, but I'll try to give some details below. First, it comes with multiple attachments for different length of beard or hair. Changing from one attachment to another is easy and self explanatory. You then dial in the length of the cut (I believe it is the standard barbershop lengths), and then shave. It's that easy. One nice feature on this one is the hair collector. It says it will capture 90% of the trimmings and it did better than that on my usage. This won't work if you are trimming a lot of hair, but for a little stubble, it keeps the counters clean. Overall, I recommend this trimmer.
