had to replace an older system that gave out. tried three other systems and they did not sound so great. this system rocks !

This is a really nice surround sound system. Sounds like you are at a movie theatre when using on movies. Grab some popcorn and get ready for an awesome movie experience.

We were looking to improve the surround system in our RV. Although the Yamaha 725W 5.1-Ch. 3D Home Theater System is typically used in a home scenario, the system was the perfect solution for our RV upgrade.

Great sound for smaller rooms. Speaker wires are powerfu enough to push quality sound. Strong bass cannon.

Yamaha has (in my opinion) always made excellent home audio equipment and this home theater in a box is no exception. For the Best Buy price of 459.99 you would be silly to NOT get this set up. All of the included cabling works well but I would recommend cables with banana plugs for the front left and right speakers. I would definitely recommend this over any comparably priced soundbar even if you only use the front speakers and subwoofer. I went through 4 different soundbars from Vizio, LG, Polk, and Sony before picking this Yamaha. But it, you won't regret it.

This was easy to set up, and puts out great sound. I'm sure you could spend thousands more if you wanted to, but it's not going to get much better than this. The sound is really good for the money.

The Yamaha does make all my electronics upgradable to 4K UHD. I absolutely love it.

The 3D effect makes every scene on tv feel like it's happening right in your living room.

Overall quality and sound is good. One of the speakers is producing a jarring noise even in low volumes. I think that this is a defective speaker. Will contact Yamaha to get it replaced. Will update this review with the outcome.

This home theater system sounds great for tv and movies. I love having all the different speakers filling up the room. For music, it lacks the bass quality I prefer. It sounds good but not nearly as great as I would like it.

This is my first component surround system.. The set up was fairly simple and took about an hour. Spent the money for a wireless set up for my back speakers and that makes a huge difference!! Great set up for the price..

Bought this to replace an old Onkyo 7.1 system. Absolutely amazed at the sound quality of Yamaha. If you’re looking for a true home theater system you can’t go wrong with this one!

When plugged into the home theater, you feel like you are part of the movie, not just watching it. I'm sure this will be a hit at our Dinner and a Movie Party in August.

The sound system is really close to being in a theater. Often my dog or I will look around for the cricket... but turns out it’s just the surround sound tricking us! Lol

This Yamaha - 725W 5.1-Ch. 3D Home Theater System is a great improvement to my entertainment system without spending $1000.

This system is very easy to setup and use in the very same day. Color coded and easy to understand directions. I was able to unbox and use in under an hour. Great product.

This sound system will amaze you because it has great quality for a reasonable price!!

Good system for basic tv. Don’t like how I have to use different connections for other things that I want to use for the tv. Nor how I can’t use it on Netflix with the app that’s on my tv
