The only sound setting that sounds any good is "straight". Beware of the YPAO Mic since it can really mess up the speaker settings.

I purchased this item based on the online review which were excellent. It took me like 3-4 hours to set it up. I played two songs at max volume and started to experience some burning smell. Within next 2-3 minutes, all front and rear speakers burned out and stopped working at all. I had to return it very next day.

The receiver has issues with hdmi with my PlayStation, it never wants to stay on the correct input

The product was alright but the speaker could've been a little bit better In sound quality.

When set up correctly and the receiver is set on (STRAIGHT) meaning when hooked up to a bluray player it is not filtering the sound of the disc original sound track you will get the original raw DTS HD MASTER AUDIO OR DOLBY DIGITAL HD MASTER AUDIO from the disc. The only thing I upgraded was the subwoofer. I set it up with the KLIPSCH R-12SW 400WATT SUBWOOFER SET UP AT 40HERTZ and the sub is cranked TO A SAFE LIMIT with no distortion and it sounds just like AMC THEATER BASS!!! I LOVE IT! JUST READ THE OWNERS MANUAL UNDERSTAND IT AND YOU WILL GET GREAT RESULTS. PROBLEM WITH MOST PEOPLE THAT RATE THESE THINGS AS BAD OR TERRIBLE IS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT SET IT UP RIGHT AND CRANK THE VOLUME TO ITS MAX AND EXPECT IT NOT TO GET DAMAGED SAME GOES FOR ANY OTHER RECEIVER THAT COSTS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND THAT GOES FOR BIG MOVIE THEATER SPEAKERS TOO!!! READ THE MANUAL YOU WILL ENJOY IT REMEMBER ITS ONLY 725WATTS BUT THERES OTHER RECEIVERS WITH MORE WATTAGE POTENTIAL

After 18 mos of limited use the system is now constantly loosing sound every few seconds and is quite annoying. I paid a lot of money for this system and got very little use out of it before the sound problems started. I've tried swapping out a brand new optic cable, switching to HDMI (no sound). It use to work fine. Disappointed.

It's an okay system.. was expecting Yamaha's system to have better sound quality

Bought the Samsung 3.1 ch sound bar and liked the easy set up to my Samsung 65" but could not get good bass. This system is working like champ and can customise everything.

Bought this home theater system and was “totally disappointed” with the speakers! I kept the receiver which is ok for the price but I actually gave all the speakers and subwoofer away for free!

Bought this item as open box, sounds terrible! Have to turn volume almost full to even hear! Volume goes to zero every time you turn it off! Going to return to store!

I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. At full volume the sound is extremely low in her small room.

HDMI ports all went bad after only 2 years of use. Switched to a Denon now.

Not enough output what I was looking for..speakers are not clarified too scratchy sound

This unit died in 14 months right after the warranty ran out.

Excelent Home Theater with great features. Bought almost 3 years still way better than any other product in the market
