I was apprehensive about getting a home theater in a box type receiver, but this has far exceeded all my expectations. I put a theater setup in my basement, and used the bulk of my budget on the couch and projector. When it came to the sound, I wanted something I can upgrade as I see the need, and this does exactly that. The only problem I have isn't really the fault of the receivers as much as it is my setup. I have some pretty long runs of speaker wire, so a few of them are a pretty high gauge wire. This makes it a bit hard to get into some of them into the receiver, but if you have patience it will work just fine. The sound itself though is great.

I was worried that this system would be hard for me to set up. I was wrong. Great surround sound system for the price. Set up was easy. Best Buy employees were very helpful and kind.

Nobody does it like Yamaha! Researched Yamaha's HTIB systems for quite some time. Was going to get the 3920 (speakers are supposed to be better on this one) originally until BestBuy had a sale on the 4930. Have to tell you it is worth every penny and then some. Just wonderful sounds from both music sources as well as surround sound from my 65" SUHD 4k, and more functions and options then I know what to do with. Does it sound like a top of the line system that costs thousands of dollars? I doubt it however; it does sound incredible and you will not be able to come close to a better BANG for your buck!

Got this as a open box Satisfactory.... This system came in perfect condition with nothing missing and the original packaging. Thanks Best Buy!!! To the quality This system is amazing. For the price of this whole system I believe that its an amazing deal. The small speakers have a surprising amount of bass clarity. The only problem is the sub woofer which gets distorted when you really give it the beans. I will say that it does sound great but leave its own volume to a little less then half. The quality of everything is just incredible!! Would recommend to anyone who would like a great AIO package. The first part to upgrade would be the sub woofer.

I had the Samsung, 1000w Blu-ray home theater system, which broke, leading me to purchase this system. This system absolutely blows that system out -of-the water. The clarity, the power, the function is excellent. For a 725w system, it seems way louder than the 1000w Samsung. I wouldn't 2nd guess buying it if you're thinking about it. I got a Black Friday price on the system, which made the whole purchase all the better!

4 years later and this thing has not skipped a beat! This has been an amazing sound system.

I bought this item 3 weeks ago, I connected my game consoles to the receiver, get sound but no picture, I even bought new HDMI cables and still doesn't work. The only way that it works is when I connect the consoles to the TV, Directv works perfect! I got a hold of yamaha and told them my problem, I was told someone would call me back. I called them 3 times now no luck, Has anyone had this issue and if you have were you able to solve the problem?

Awesome system! Thinking about getting a second one for my livingroom, this one is currently in the updated man cave. Well worth it. Wasn't impressed with the YAPO or whatever it is, but I tried it and then made my own adjustments; it might work for you.

Does the job sound is nice and no issues setting up.

I returned this purchase after only a few days because of some serious drawbacks. First, there was no pass-through for the video signal so if the system is in stand-by mode, there is no video. Second, if the system is in stand-by mode you can't just use the TV audio (for when you don't want to use the surround sound). I ended up purchasing an Onkyo system for $150 less.

This is the best system for the best price. The sound quality is excellent

Does not have a 100 watt powered subwoofer as advertised. It has a 45 watt powered subwoofer.

only have the yamaha system for about 3 hours play time and the receiver already started frying itself. speakers are crap but could also be from a bad receiver. went from a jbl sb400 sound bar and decided to upgrade to a home theater system. the jbl sb400 way outperformed the yamaha system. im going to return and just get the newer jbl soundbar instead.
