Sounds really good but the subwoofer distorts with deep bass. I do like that you can upgrade components as time goes on

This is a great 5.1 surround sound Home Theater system. Very easy to setup and sounds amazing. comes with everything you need. I purchased universal speaker stands for it and it worked great.

Got this for my bed room. Sound is great, and the instructions were very straight forward on how to set it up. I did have to go on YouTube to find out how to program the settings, that info was not included in my open box.

This system is a must for someone who wants a home theater system, but does not want to pay the premium price that many setups require you to pay. I originally got a Vizio 5.1 soundbar, but was extremely disappointed with the quality of sound so I returned it for this beautiful system. You get a receiver and speakers that are guaranteed to satisfy you unless you are super picky about the sound of your speakers. I have my system setup with my tv through its HDMI ARC feature and it works beautifully. Controlling everything is super simple now. A must get for those who want movie theater quality sound in their entertainment room. I may never go to another theater.

It was a great step up from what we had before. It makes watching TV very enjoyable.

The speakers are a little smaller then I would have liked, but great sound. Easy set up. I'd recommend buying extra speaker wire or getting a rough measurement... I ended up needing it.

Always loved Yamaha sound products, this one will not disappoint!!

Purchased this Yamaha "Home Theater In A Box" to replace an earlier version of the same thing that I purchased back in 1999. Difference being that this one came with a receiver while the old one didn't. That old system has been cranking out awesome sound for almost 20 years and still sounded great but seemed like it was beginning to have a few issues. While the speakers ( and subwoofer) on the new one don't seem as beefy as the old system, the sound is great. In fact I left some of the old speakers up for the time being because I haven't had time to hang the rear ones on this yet. All in all a great basic home theater for a great price that will probably blow away most sound bar systems at this price.

Not a bad sound system for the money. Setup was easy and connecting bluetooth to my headphones , ipad and computer was a snap. Tivo, Roku and my dvd player work great. Surround sound is pretty darn good.

This unit does not take up a lot of space but puts out great sound.

An easy way to put surround sound in your living room without spending a bunch. great sound and very easy to set up.
