It is plug and play - no software needed. A great feature is that the charging dock houses the usb receiver - and the connection is extremely stable. I got it on sale for $40 - highly reccommend.

The only question is if you need the Bluetooth connection or not. If not save a few bucks and get the 2.4g version and you are off the races!
