A Good Movie to add to your Christmas Collection...

Very good movie. We had to add this to our Library.

While not in the league of other versions (1951 Sim version; 1970 Finney musical), this rendition remains enjoyable.

They remade it but not have the same feel as the original. It is good for the holidays but could have been better.

I have been wanting to add a DVD of Charles Dickens' beloved classic to our Christmas video collection, but I was never sure which of the various versions would be best. After hearing a rave review about George C. Scott's performance in "A Christmas Carol," I decided to go with this one and was not disappointed. This is a very well done, heartwarming rendition of that great drama, and the quality of Blu-ray and 5.1 audio make it all the more enjoyable. Unfortunately, there are no Special Features, but this DVD has now become a Christmas tradition in our household!
