This is one of those sleeper independent movies (specifically French), which have a lot of amazing actors who are not so well known. This is not a typical "Goes to prison...comes out educated" type of film. This is much more grittier, realistic. Tahar Rahimplays Malik, who enters the prison system for assaulting a police officer, and we see his shocking experiences which lead to some rather amazing consequences. This is a must-see movie. I've noticed the price on this is very affordable, so put this on your list!

Really enjoyed this. The story is amazing. The acting is phenomenal. The dramatic scenes are intense and outstanding. It's a must see. Totally shocked at how great this was. I have no problem comparing it to the Godfather or especially Scarface.
