This is probably one of the most frightening films of recent memory. Finally a horror movie that isn’t all about decapitations, blood and guts and one jump scare after another even though there is a few of them. When they do rear their head, they’re done tactfully with necessity. What I love about A Quiet Place is that it uses the horror genre to explore themes such as family relations and grief, and it tops up the family drama with suspense, lots of it. This is easily the most suspenseful film I have ever seen and it was one heck of a ride.

I watch a lot of Horror. I have for as long as I've been alive. This is the best American made Horror concept release that has come along in the past decade. In a ten year span that saw the release of "gems" like the horror film equivalent of a Groundhog Day remake and a plethora of American remakes of quality foreign films, this truly stands apart. Mr. John Krasinski needs to write and direct more. And he came keep on convincing his wife to play the lead as well. There is no bad here.

Really enjoyed this film as it was quite a departure from the usual sound effect blow-outs so common today. Don't worry, there will be plenty to hear when the acoustically tuned aliens hear you accidentally hear you drop the stopper out of your belly button. Not a world where you can get away with eating bean soup anymore! Really looking forward to the sequel which was to be released about the same time China released the virus! Hope I live to see it....

opening scene was hard for me to watch, but overall a good movie.

Very good movie. Quiet, thriller, horror. 4k video shows pretty good , but the dolby atmos audio is reference quality! The soundstage, volume, height use, rear channel directionality, all top notch. Simply because of the plot of movie having limited dialogue until the creature(whoa the sound!) hits, it is amongst my favorite dolby atmos mixes I have(Blade runner 2049,Madmax, Ready Player One,Pacific Rim). Def. buy for audio enthusiasts.

What a knockout punch. Unlike anything I've ever seen before. It is psych terrifying from start to finish. The whole cast just tears up the screen and Krasinski's directing is amazing. Every scene is beautifully framed. The story is about so much more than just the physical terror the family faces, however, and by the end of the movie you'll be begging for five to ten more minutes! Make sure to watch in as dark, and as quiet, a room as you can for the full effect...then go on and drop a pin on the floor. I dare you. ☺
