A Star is Born starts strong and stays that way through about half of its running time. The performances are genuine, the chemistry is strong, and the core relationships drive the story forward in a compelling way. The music is also quite excellent, with songs managing to believably exist within the world of the film while also advancing the overall plot. By the time the two leads got together and her singing career began to take off, I was on the same page with most people who loved the movie. Then something happened and it's like someone accidentally changed over to a second, dramatically inferior version of the film. I became increasingly less invested in the characters, everything began to devolve into montages as time sped by, and by the time the emotional climax arrived, it failed to make any sort of emotional impact. Still, those earlier scenes were so strong that I can recommend checking the film out. There is something quite special there, even if it's ultimately squandered.

Bradley Cooper did a pretty good job directing and acting. Lady Gaga's performance was very good! The sound mix was awesome! The concert scenes in Dolby ATMOS was amazing!! Must watch if you're a Gaga fan.

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

Having seen the original movie I had to see how they made this one. Was done well with great songs and actors. Enjoyed this remake very much and didn,t know Bradley Cooper could sing and direct that good,

This remake is everything the reviews promised. Well done remake of a classic with a great, but tragic ending. Some many of today’s young talents are taken away to soon, by the demands of the business.

If you haven’t seen this movie yet...I’m shocked it’s such a spectacular movie!!! I’ve seen the original Streisand version and loved it but I think this version with gaga and it is so much better

The movie looks and sounds great. Onoynissue was the digital cooy was expired and the studio specifically says that they do not honor expired codes or provide replacement codes for any reason.

Wasn’t on my radar but with all the hype from the Oscars & a few recommendations from friends picked up a copy of the movie. Have already seen it twice. Love the movie but the soundtrack is even better.

A Star Is Born has a relatively simple story on it's own that tackles darker themes. It's all well done, but what makes this movie is the acting. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have great chemistry, and they both give great performances in respects to acting and singing. The steelbook is pretty nice, but so is the regular edition so get it even if you missed the steelbook.

This movie is incredible. I never expected Bradley Cooper to do such a fine job directing. As for the blu ray its pretty standard looking nothing spectacular. Just glad to have this in ny collection.

This movie is an amazing pice of art. The 4K version is stunningly beautiful, the acting is superb, the songs are amazing. It’s just spectacular. Bring tissues. My wife and I were in tears by the end.

Never got to see the film in theaters, and it was my first time buying a film just based off of reviews. I AM SO GLAD I DID. Loved the whole story line and was surprised by the ending. Excellent film.

Lady gaga and Bradley cooper were awesome in the movie and it is worth watching over and over again. Wish the ending was left open for a sequel but the way it ended. I don't see it possible.

I wasnt expecting to pick up a hard copy of this, but my gf wanted to watch this to end out Date night and I'm glad we did. Sound track is simply amazing! Gaga and Cooper Performance was next level!

actually saw this in the theater first, my wife loves Lady Gaga so had to go. was pleasantly surprised, the movie was very good. Acting was superb. dude could actually sing as well. very shocking.

My wife really likes LadyGaga. She really wanted this movie. Best Buy had it so we bought it. Honestly I didn’t think they sold DVD movies anymore. But they do. My wife is happy with the purchase.

The singing in this movie will wake up your sound system. Great movie.

I enjoyed this movie and even bought the soundtrack. I can watch this movie over and over. Beware it is sad. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are great in this movie. They should do more together.

Bradley Cooper directed one of the best movies I have ever seen. Both his & Lady Gaga gave the best performances I've seen since Jamie Fox in Ray. They should have won Oscars! THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!
