this movie would be pretty good if I was twelve years old.

Watched this with the grandkids and we really enjoyed the story line. I’m not going to give anything away, it’s so nice to watch a movie where you don’t have to be concerned about content. We have rewatched it 3 times and I have a feeling it’s going to be playing again this weekend.

Family movies are very rare in this day and age. It's difficult to find a movie to share with your family . This movie was one that I not only enjoyed, but had a chance to enjoy it with my family without having to tell them to look away or having to explain that most of the language was inappropriate and should not be used. The children especially appreciated the fact that it was a christian movie.

This movie started off with potential but went down hill after the first 15 minutes. I really wanted to like this movie, it had a lot of good names in it but the story was all over the place. I can’t believe Disney put this mess out, very disappointing.

As a movie this was very well made. Visually very nice. The acting was good. However, as a movie based on a great book that I have read many times it did not cut it. Actually seeing one of the three women was confusing. You never see her in the book. she is a voice that communicates. I understand that is not very appealing visually but the reason for that is important in the book. This movie just became a big budget adventure flick. Not the important meaningful story it was written to be. Where were the other two brothers. Minor in the book but dropping them matters. Also, where was Aunt Beast? A brief glimpse of something on a dark screen does not do justice to her. A major plot point completely cut from the movie. As I said, just OK.

A few good special effects, but the plot was slow. Movie was way worse than the book, and I didn't think the book was that great. No wonder Disney bought StarWars and Marvel if this is the best they could do on their own anymore.

I have never read the books, and watched it for entertainment purposes only. My kids on the other hand, they have read the book. They said the book is different than the movie, and they weren't as excited about it as my wife and I were.

Sorry Disney, this was worse than 'TomorrowLand', slow and boring. Will pull this out to watch the next time there's a snowstorm and all the power goes out. (That's no faux pas, as it won't be watched at all!)

I cannot put my feelings about this movie into words but I will try my best to explain. This movie was excellent in my opinion it made me feel deep down inside my body I was touched I was happy I was sad I was all over the place with it which made it and excellent movie to watch it gets you deep in your feelings if you focus.

I had to own this, cause it is Disney. The movie was not that great, but it did have some beautiful visuals and colors. I wish it had been in 4K, but I wasn't going to double dip on this one and pay full price. I'll wait till the price drops on the 4K and then do a frankenstien and the slipcover wasn't great either.

We had wanted to see it when it came out. But never had the chance. Got it when it came out on Blue Ray. Had a great movie night with my son, who wanted to see it . Very colorful and a cute adventure. We truly enjoyed watching the movie. And eating popcorn too just like in the movie theaters. Great family movie

Caught these in a Daily Deal for $4.99 each. Bought like 8 of them for friends and family. So this 5-star review is based on that information alone. Terrible movie that I cannot recommend. Read the books instead, you won't be disappointed.

I personally enjoyed the movie the quality of the movie seemed really nice the steelbook that it was packaged in was really nice the only complaint I really have was the packaging that it was sent to me in

Bought this because my two youngest children wanted to see it in the theaters, but we never got around to it. All three enjoyed the film for the most part, but especially loved the visualization.

As always with Disney movies, photography and visual effects were great. Story line addressed a good message of self worth, especially for younger teens, but plot was a little slow to develop.

love the artwork of the steelbook. came before estimated time and came damage free. always been a fan of disney films so excited to give this a watch

Honestly, I would give it 3 stars myself, but my daughter really enjoyed it. The overall message is nice and the effects are pretty good...the story was just ok in this grown-up's opinion.

My daughter and I absolutely love this film. It didn't do 2 well at the box office but do not let that stop u from checking out this great family movie.

The steelbook is beautiful, but I could have done without being forced to purchase the 4K. The colors on the steelbook are beautiful and it is glossy which makes it really nice

Not to bash on the original film, or the book, but this movie was great! Captivated my little cousins attention the entire time and they loved it. The IT may be a little intense for younger kids, but, in all, a wonderful family film with a great lesson
