Monitor quit working within the 1st week. Acer sent me a refurbished and now it quit working

Now you get what you pay for so dont forget that and i wont but the guilty of the picture sucks and if u increase it it will get worse so yeah dont game on it if u care for how it looks but its great if u are just using it to extend screens to type and stuff

For a budget option which is where Acer tends to place themselves with their product line this is a very good pick up. You can't even get a TV that's 1080P at this price range so the fact you can get a 24 inch full HD monitor with freesync and 100hz refresh rate is a great thing for those on a budget. That said this monitor is also flexible with old hardware and new alike with the inputs provided here. An HDMI cable comes graciously in the box as well which is always a nice touch. Honestly at this price point you expect to have 60 Hz and no sort of variable refresh rate but this comes in and knocks it out of the park with 100 Hz refresh rate and AMD free sync which as a side note also works with Nvidia graphics cards or anything else as it's an “open” variable refresh rate technology. Having this aids in frame rates with some thing like an older computer so you don't have to use the sink or deal with choppy image that has a bunch of screen tearing which pretty much ruins your game experience this thing smooth it out by having the monitor refresh at the same rate that your graphics card or CPU can output it. Having both an HDMI port and a DVI port makes it excellent to connect to basically anything these days as if it doesn't have the correct port for your device you could always get an adapter to one of these. Sadly there is no speakers on this thing but that's what you get this price point anyways it's already exceeding expectations here on just about everything else and if you're using this for gaming you're probably using headphones anyways (or should be lol) so this won't matter. I do wanna point out this has a set base on it and it's not really adjustable so keep this in mind. I probably wouldn't be using this for work from home situation as I would want a higher resolution for lower eye strain and adjustability. But what it does do great at is media consumption and gaming which this knocks out of the park. Also wanted to note as somebody who suffers from headaches migraines and burning eyes from poor electronic device screens this does not have any sort of noticeable flicker or harsh blue light and has a ton of settings in the menu for this as it includes Acer vision care which is super nice for somebody like me and this did not affect me after using it for six hours straight and one day.

I bought 2 of these to work from home from time to time. They both would randomly turn themselves off for a few seconds then back on. This would happen multiple times a day and for no reason. I checked settings and couldn’t find a reason for this or a setting for it. There was no sleep setting that I could find. So I would not recommend.

This monitor looks nice and was good enough for what I needed it for (second monitor when I wfh). However, it stopped working just seven months after purchasing. I've always had good experiences with Acer products but this one is a dud.

Can't get over that part.

The most awful customer service I’ve ever had on my online order. Computer never came had to order another computer. You did nothing for me. I lost thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars.

Ordered two of these for Christmas gifts, upon opening one of them is completely dead, no power, and cant return.

Was fine until it stopped working today. Shut off and wont turn back on. Have had it for almost a year exactly.

terrible color. Cheap. I purchased this on a whim since I needed a monitor badly, but the colors are way off. Every time I post a photo on instagram/Fb the colors are completely different than the actual photo.

I tried to return my monitor a few days after the return date and the cashier refused to accept the monitor even though it was never opened. I have been a dedicated buyer for the last 20 years. Will never buy anthing from BEST BUY

I recently got this Acer 24" monitor and I'm super impressed. For a 24" monitor, HD or 1920x1080 is really the sweet spot in terms of price and desktop space without making the screen elements so small that you have to squint. Considering the price, my expectation was fairly low, so I didn't really think I'd get such a great, stable picture out of it. This monitor is 75Hz, which is much faster than what your eyes can see so you won't "feel" like it has random stutters like lesser monitors that run slower. So, this is a suitable gaming monitor if you have a fast enough graphics card, which is pretty easy to have for HD today. The color quality was fairly good and instead of using the unfun on monitor controls, I used the Acer widget which did have live control over color and surprisingly included a blue light blocker which is good for evenings or late night use to prevent bleery eyes. Now this particular version of the monitor is an IPS which gives me good viewing angles. Since I'm pairing it with a 43" monitor and it is a secondary monitor, this is a good thing. The previous versions of this particular monitor are VA which has slightly better contrast but much worse viewing angles. I can't tell the difference compared to my older VA monitor so I'm thinking that the tech has gotten better now. This is a crazy good value for a FULL HD monitor with this kind of quality and brightness. Very impressed, and definite recommend.

The Acer - KA242Y Ebi 23.8" IPS LED FreeSync Monitor is more or less the defacto standard size monitor in use at home or business. It makes a good second monitor if you already have something larger and more capable. Perfect monitor to hang off a laptop via an HDMI cable, the claimed 100mhz refresh rate is serviceable for less demanding gaming needs. The panel in itself is basic, matte finish and brightness maxes out at 250 nits, so although bright for most needs, you do not get HDR capabilities. In any case the IPS screen does a good job displaying graphics and text with no fuzziness or jagged edges. The controls are on the right rear side and provide some basic options. The inputs are VGA and HDMI 1.4 (which seems kind of outdated as most monitors or televisions use HDMI 2.0 or greater, but it is not really a factor here and at this price point. The display panel comes with a sturdy stand, with a fairly large base which keeps the monitor steady. You can also utilize a VESA compatible stand to mount to a multipaneled stand. I always hate to write reviews that are based on price however at this price point it's got to be a driving factor. Overall it's a good monitor through trough the first week or so of putting the monitor through the rigiors it held up fairly well. Let's start we set up, easy as you would expect. I used it with the gaming computer standard laptop and directly connected to gaming console however the later took a bit of adjustment to get right. As for the performance, it was adequate for all the environments that I tested in. I notice no visible lag or sync issues. I did see a small amount of ghosting in a couple of cases however it did consincied with some heavy process tasking so not sure it that had any issues that drove the problem or not. I will note that I could not repeat the issues through multiple test of the same screen. The only real issue I have is that it's a small monitor. As a standalone monitor it's not realy big enough for the detail you need to see in a number of games. Bottomline - if you have space constraints, money constraints or can drive multiple monitor you might want to pass on this however if those are the case it's not a bad purchase.
