Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the screen size, ease of use, and price as significant advantages. Positive feedback also frequently mentions the resolution, HDMI connectivity, and clarity of the display. While some users appreciate the refresh rate, a common drawback cited is the lack of built-in speakers. Minor concerns were also raised regarding the monitor's base and potential glare.

    Solid Free-Sync Monitor

After many years of using 23” monitors because I felt larger monitors would be bigger than I wanted sitting in front of me. Have changed my mind after receiving the Acer 27” monitor and find that I prefer the larger screen. The Acer is a good-looking monitor with a thin bezel and nicely flat display of 1.5” deep. Colors and graphics are good coupled with an anti-glare screen. On typical games I play which are graphic intensive all displayed smoothly with excellent graphics. My games are not super demanding for fast paced action, so I loaded up more demanding games to push the Free Sync capabilities. With the monitor spec’d at 60Hz was surprised when utilizing Free Sync how smooth graphics were, especially compared to running the same game in native 60Hz without the Free Sync. Notes: - Free Sync - Antiglare monitor - Refresh rate 4ms - Refresh rate 60Hz - 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio - TFT-LCD Have my windows Taskbar set at the right side of my screen and often cannot see the highlight to the right of the open task. Appears that the screen is clipping the edge pixels a bit and have not been able to correct the clipped highlight within the Acer menu or within Windows. If the Task Bar is set to the bottom of the screen, then it is not an issue. In certain lighting situations the screen appears a bit washed out; black backgrounds are not as solid as an IPS screen. Having switched over to display ports on our monitors would have liked to have had a display port on board. The HDMI connection is solid. If you are looking for Free Sync monitor for gaming than you will find the Acer a good-looking monitor with decent specs at a good price point.

This is definitely not a gaming monitor. If you need high refresh rates and pixel density, you should look elsewhere. But it works just fine as a monitor for average daily use. The price is a bit high, so wait to catch it on sale.

straight out the box this was perfectly color corrected for my needs. Easy to set up, and if I need to take it apart it will be just as easy. Does not go up and down, but I never needed that feature anyway. I love the almost bezel-less screen as it gives me a non distracting view of my games. Hooked up to HDMI and the picture is sharp, the colors are bright and the darks are dark. I noticed that with my 144hz video card that this monitor keeps with the near perfect framerate that I am use to with the laptop screen. All I can say is I wish I get one sooner, as this has made game play much more enjoyable.

Pros: Huge size Slim profile Bright and clear screen Cons: Base is large and clunky Ports are in a weird spot on the back I work from home from a laptop and utilize a monitor as a second screen. With this monitor I've actually stopped using the laptop as a second screen and only rely on this. This screen is huge. Everything is crisp and clear and I have no issues with reading tiny font or a cramped screen as I run many programs at once and need them all open to flip between. This has made work life so much easier. I do have limited space on my desk and found the base a little strange and clunky however have made it work to take advantage of only needing to use one screen now. I also found it was hard to maneuver cords into certain spots on the back but that's something I can deal with as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a big screen with amazing color and clarity. I did test it out with my personal laptop and some games before setting it up with my work computer and think I may need to buy a second once I get another desk setup.

The remote won't pair with the TV despite new batteries and trying all the tricks and tips from the Best Buy forum and YouTube. It's a known issue. Local store doesnt pick up the phone. The chat agent said i have to call the hotline and the hotline has had over a 2 hour wait each time I've tried to call. Useless TV. I'm immune compromised and have to risk another trip to return it to their "amazing" contactless curbside stations. It also had no feet in the box so I already made 1 return trip to the store where I was met with attitude and told to just order and pay for some online. After 15 minutes a new rep came outside with the feet that were supposed to already be in the box. What a mess.

There are literally blurry vertical strips of pixels on this monitor, you cannot even adjust the sharpness in the settings. By far the worst monitor I have ever owned.

The graphics are excellent - I had no idea what I was missing! Upgrading from a 13-inch monitor, my eyes had to adjust to this enormous 27-inch screen but didn’t take long. The games I’m playing feel like totally different games, and the visuals are more real and intense. The assembly was easy but the manual was not very clear about the cable connections. Also the box was a bit flimsy - one side of the box was starting to separate, but luckily no damages inside.

This latest monitor from Acer is a 27 inch full HD not only provides crisp and vibrant colors but also offers FreeSync technology when paired with a compatible graphics card, eliminates fluctuations in the screen during gaming. I have tried it on a compatible APU/GPU computer and tried some games with it and so far fluctuations were not noticed. Aside from this new feature, I like the screen size of 27 inches which makes it easier not only to play games but also do some work using word processors and spreadsheets. Controls are easily accessible as they are found in the bottom corner of the monitor. And in fact easy to use. There is barely a need for a manual. At the back of the screen one can see that there are three connections mainly DVI, VGA and HDMI. The menu of the monitor allows for automatic selection for whatever connection you use. Thus really making this an easy to use monitor. The monitor is easy to assemble which is basically attaching the stand with a screwdriver necessary for installation. The screen is tiltable for better viewing. One thing to note also is that the screen has a small bezel adding to a better viewing pleasure. And which the colors are crisp and bright, prolonged use does not really provide eyestrain. This monitor being the latest from Acer is a highly recommended monitor especially if you have a compatible GPU which enables you to have not only a good viewing pleasure but also having a better gaming experience.

I love this monitor. It's extremely light and very thin without the base. I mounted mine to an adjustable arm, because they're finally affordable now and I'm about that baller life. All jokes aside, the image it produces is fantastic. It's bright with vivid colors and the anti-glare works impressively well. While it's lauded for having Freesync capability, another feature that everybody can enjoy is that it's bright without straining the eyes. This is extremely useful for anyone looking at the screen for more than a few hours a day (most of us). The 4ms response time ensured my PS4 was smooth and it worked great as an extended screen to my MacBook Pro as well. The picture looks great out of the box and from a wide angle! The only gripe I have with this monitor is that I wish it had more inputs. At least a 2nd HDMI input, but that's nit picking. This is a great monitor at a very reasonable price point. If you're looking for a bright 27" display that puts out smooth, vivid images that won't strain your eyes, you will not be disappointed.

Overall, this is a really nice monitor. I’m not sure what all of their “technologies” listed on the box are actually there for, but it looks very nice. They have notes about blue light filtering, which I see absolutely no evidence of. If you want that, you have to do it with the computer. There are no settings that I can find to filter the blue out. Otherwise, the image is very nice and clear. I have this monitor (27”) set up next to an HP monitor (23”) at the same resolution, and I can more easily see the pixels in the HP than the Acer. This is amazing given the difference in size. Unfortunately, I don’t have a computer with a compatible video card to test the graphics assistance that the monitor can provide. The bezels on this monitor are .25”, which is quite narrow. Definitely the smallest bezels I’ve seen on a readily affordable monitor. My only odd observation is that the power light at the bottom of the monitor is quite bright, so perhaps don’t keep it in your bedroom if you are easily disturbed by lights. Otherwise, this is an excellent monitor. For a video of my thoughts, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqDQ8bAqx2U
