    Good gaming laptop overall

The Acer Nitro 5 is my first gaming laptop, and I was very impressed with its overall performance. It delivers smooth gameplay, fast program execution, and handles both work-related tasks and everyday use with ease. For its price point, the hardware power and speed are excellent, making it a strong option in the entry-to-mid gaming laptop category. The main drawback is the battery life, which is quite limited and requires the laptop to remain plugged in most of the time. In my experience, even when the fans are off and the system is under light use, the battery still drains quickly. Additionally, my first unit arrived with a defect and had to be sent for service. While this issue was resolved, it was disappointing for a first experience with this product line. In conclusion, the Acer Nitro 5 offers excellent performance and value for its capabilities, but buyers should be aware of its weak battery life and the possibility of quality control issues.

I’ve been using the Racer Nitro 15 for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s exceeded my expectations in just about every way. From performance to design, it delivers a well-rounded experience that’s hard to beat at this price point. Performance: Powered by a high-performance processor and a solid graphics card, the Nitro 15 handles everything I throw at it—whether it’s AAA gaming, video editing, or multitasking with heavy apps. The thermals are well managed, and the fans, while audible during intense sessions, never get too distracting. Display: The 15.6” Full HD display is vibrant and smooth, especially with the high refresh rate. Whether you’re gaming or streaming, visuals look crisp, and the color reproduction is great for both play and creative work. Design & Build: The Nitro 15 has a sleek, aggressive design that screams performance. It’s surprisingly lightweight for a gaming laptop, and the RGB keyboard is a nice touch—customizable and responsive. The build feels durable, and the port selection is generous. Battery Life: Gaming laptops aren’t known for long battery life, but the Nitro 15 holds up decently during regular use—web browsing, light editing, and media playback—giving around 5-6 hours depending on usage. Final Thoughts: Overall, the Racer Nitro 15 is an excellent choice for gamers, students, and professionals who need power without breaking the bank. It’s reliable, stylish, and delivers top-notch performance for its category. Highly recommended!

    Decent Bang For Your Buck!

The Acer Nitro V ANV15-51-789J Laptop is a solid choice for gamers seeking an affordable option with decent build quality. Despite its mostly plastic case, it feels sturdy, though the smooth finish on top can be a bit sharp. The laptop felt substantial but not overly heavy. The screen was a highlight for me, but only for gaming, thanks to its fantastic refresh rate. It's worth noting that text can appear blurry for other tasks besides gaming. On the audio front, the laptop delivers impressive sound quality for its mid-range status, although I personally prefer using headphones for a more immersive experience. In terms of gaming performance, Dead Space looked impressive on the IPS screen, with darks remaining detailed and not overly crushed. While navigating the system, there were occasional hiccups, but gameplay in Madden was smooth with good player control. Connecting external displays can be hit or miss, particularly with Thunderbolt displays on Intel systems. While I was unable to connect to an LG 5K Thunderbolt Display, HDMI connections to 4K displays produced fantastic results. Performance-wise, the laptop delivers solid results, scoring well on benchmarks. The Nova Bench score of 3197 places it among the top 93% of PCs, while the Nero score of 3831 further shows its a decent bang for the buck, but isn't a rig that you're going to brag to your friends about. Overall, the Acer Nitro V ANV15-51-789J offers decent gaming performance and build quality at an accessible price point, making it a compelling choice for gamers on a budget.

Why you should get a acer nitro 5

The Acer Nitro 5 is a solid, budget-friendly gaming laptop that offers great value for money. It features a bold, gamer-centric design with a 15.6-inch Full HD display, often boasting a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming performance. Powered by Intel or AMD processors and paired with NVIDIA GTX/RTX graphics, it handles modern games like Call of Duty and Fortnite well on medium to high settings. The backlit keyboard is comfortable for both gaming and typing, while the cooling system efficiently keeps the laptop from overheating during extended use. Battery life is average, lasting around 4-6 hours under normal use, but gaming drains it faster. The build is plastic, which feels durable but not premium, and it's slightly heavier than other laptops. The trackpad is small, but the keyboard and cooling system make up for this. It includes a variety of ports like USB 3.0, USB-C, Ethernet, and HDMI, as well as Wi-Fi 6 for fast wireless connections. Overall, the Nitro 5 is a well-rounded gaming laptop with impressive performance at an affordable price, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious gamers.

Overall a good entry gaming laptop for the price point. I've had it for roughly a year and have not had issues. Obviously you wont be able to play AAA shooters or MMO's in ultra settings, but for the quality and FPS this gives you. Id recommend it for a travel gaming laptop if you are not able to be by your main rig.

This computer is very nice but when it is running for a while it sounds like an engine about to explode. The battery dies fast but you are supposed to keep them plugged in while using! Overall amazing performance.

It is a great computer; it is fast, the graphics are amazing, and it can handle tougher games. My only complaint is that the batter depletes incredibly fast. If you want to do anything on it, you need to have it plugged in the whole time.

i picked this up with a 4060 and 13th gen i7 for under $900. great value for the price. the cooling leaves something to be desired but i cant complain for a budget laptop. the keyboard gets a bit hot while playing but nothing too bad. build quality feels decent. not the best keyboard out there but it gets the job done. battery life is about what i expected at about 3 hours of light to medium work. Had it for about a month and it plays even the newest games at high or ultra settings. fans sound like it’s about to take off but that’s to be expected of a laptop like this, but i definitely underestimated the volume of the fans. if that bothers you, maybe put together a mid tier gaming pc and get a cheap laptop for everyday tasks. overall very happy with the purchase

I’ve been using the Acer Nitro 15.6" Gaming Laptop for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 144Hz FHD IPS display is stunning, providing smooth and vibrant visuals that enhance my gaming experience. The 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card handle even the most demanding games with ease, delivering excellent performance and fast load times. The 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD ensure that multitasking and storage are never an issue. The laptop runs quietly and stays cool, even during intense gaming sessions. The build quality is solid, and the design is sleek and modern. Overall, the Acer Nitro offers fantastic value for its price, combining powerful hardware with a great display and reliable performance. I highly recommend it to any gamer looking for a high-quality, affordable gaming laptop.

Overall it's a great laptop for both high-performance applications and as a daily-driver. I love the build, not too bulky while still having a dedicated GPU. The display isn't anything crazy but gets the job done at this price point. Love the compact numpad on the side and keys still feel great after almost a year of heavy use. Like all gaming laptops, this thing is like a JET ENGINE when it gets going, but has a silent option that keeps it unnoticeable at the price of performance (I keep it in silent mode 24/7). At the price I got it (~950 w/ discount) it's a solid deal.

This is the best PC I have ever bought, it can run anything I throw at it, and at very high frames. The 144hz display on this device is especially surprising, given the price point. The only concern I have is battery life, as it drains pretty fast if not plugged in, though there is a lot of energy efficiency customization options.

Love this laptop have had no issues! The Acer Nitro V is a solid budget gaming laptop with decent performance for the price. It handles most modern games well and stays fairly cool under pressure. The build is plastic-heavy, but the keyboard feels nice. Battery life isn’t great, but overall it’s a good value for casual gamers.

For its price, it is actually a pretty good gaming laptop. As a student who needed something quick and cheap to work with advanced programs it holds up pretty well and runs quick. The only minor issue is its battery life but honestly it is still pretty solid for a gaming laptop.

Great laptop does what i need it to do. Fan is definitely loud on high speed and laptop can get hung up if streaming via xbox app but thats not the devices fault im sure. I do wish the screen was a little brighter but its hd. Overall good mid range gaming laptop....also i do wish it had more storage.

Good mid-level gaming system. Runs pretty much all popular games. It does overheat in a few like Warhammer. You can crank up the fans and this helps but man are they loud. I would recommend but you may want to keep the video settings at a reasonable level so play doesn't get interrupted.
