HDR is not bright

SDR gets really bright but with HDR enabled the brightness lacks that punch you would expect from a mini led monitor. HDR color mode is also the only setting HDR works with. Auto HDR has to be enabled for HDR to work but its not an auto feature as it just stays on HDR even on SDR content and when you turn it off you have to redo your picture settings for SDR. This monitor may be good some day if they fix a lot of stuff with firmware but in its current state its a hard pass.

Big software problem

This monitor has much bigger issues. It will randomly lose signal for a few seconds when I open some app on windows, even a new page on chrome. Apparently, this is a known issue. Multiple people on reddit reported it. The other problem is the Acer Display Widget is very buggy with this monitor. It randomly turns on/off max brightness and frame rate display when I switch between profiles. I can live with that, but not losing the signal so often.

Some applications look really washed out even with calibration. Monitor has an insufficient level of dimming zones, causing an inacceptable level of blooming.
