Disappointing display.

What I don't understand is why the advertising photo displays a picture that goes all the way to the frame borders. My display ends 3/4" from the top, 1" on each side and 1/2" on the bottom. Very disappointing and distracting. The screen is 27" on the diagonal frame to frame, however the actual display is really 24-3/4". Could be me, but I don't see anything in settings that can correct this condition.
