Laptop is ok for gaming i paid 799 plus tax i feel should be cheaper and its rather heavy to carry around

I wanted a laptop that balanced home use and some casual gaming. This was perfect.

WARNING! ACER will not back up their product. I have purchased three Nitro 5 PC's. One had a cooling fan that started to rub and got gradually worse. Sent it in for a warranty repair and was told that there had been liquid spilled in the PC. Maybe a splash that was quickly wiped up at some time but never an issue with the PC until the fan. But any evidence of liquid in the PC voids the warranty. They admit that they can't link any liquid spill to the fan failure but won't fix it under warranty regardless. One of the other ones I purchased is also starting to make fan noise and I will buy the part ($29) and fix it myself. Battery life is also bad on the other two. Took about a year to get to the point where the battery doesn't last more than 1.5 hours with just casual internet browsing. Do not buy!!

Works great. Noticed that sometimes it gets a little hot but nothing else. Great buy!

I received my computer and it would not turn on. Acre needs to work on there quality control for this seems to be common issue with computers. Best Buy did great with reordering me a new one but my time dealing with this quality issue from acer is frustrating for any customer. This is a company that claims to bridge the gap with people and technology they sure missed the standard on this one. Still do not have a computer to rate.

Good but I had to return it because of some glitches on the system. I guess Acer is just not expected to deliver on "quality".

I am not particularly tech savvy anymore and even I could figure this thing out. It runs SO much better then any laptop I've had before. Honestly I forgot that games could even run smoothly. I have even tried playing a game while I had up to three tabs open. No problems. I'm still just getting settled into it, but so far I am highly impressed. I definitely recommend it.

The Nitro video driver is smart, so it turns on automatically based on the program using it! Fast boot and ready to go in seconds!

My son needed a gaming laptop as he is headed to college in a few weeks. This one hit most all marks he was interested in, except perhaps the 60hz screen. Still, that hasn't been an issue, and there hasn't been any lag while playing his games. Down the road, he may need more memory storage, but there are plenty of options to expand. All in all, no complaints about a first time Acer purchase!!

Excellent value for a core use and gaming laptop. The amount of memory and specs of this laptop makes it very diverse in use. Easy for my boys and I to use. We enjoy the large 17.3" screen and wide keyboard. The gaming features and ease of use is a big hit with my boys, and as they say its "fire"! The price for what you get is what made this a hit for me!
