I had the opportunity to review last years version of this laptop that was equipped with the 1050ti and it did not disappoint. Surprisingly it was constantly outperforming my desktop which came in at a slightly higher price point. So when given the opportunity to get my hands on the new model with the new GTX 1650 graphics card, I was more than excited. Like last years model, this laptop has a pretty slick design, quality construction, and a very nice display. It also comes with a matching travel sleeve that helps keep the laptop protected while traveling with it. Unlike last year,there are no expansion bays in the bottom of this laptop to expand memory or storage. I greatly appreciated this feature in last years model as it made upgrades quick and easy. Acer, please bring this back! The initial setup of the laptop went smooth and quickly. Which is great considering that when you get a rig like this, the first thing that you want to do is get your hands on it and jump right in to what it is made for...GAMING. There is minimal bloatware, the only thing that I had to remove was NORTON. Other than that, answer Cortana's questions and let the games begin! The first thing that I did was run a UserBenchmark on this laptop to see where it stood compared to my other rigs. To my surprise, the graphics card tested incredibly poor. After numerous tests and making sure that nothing else was running in the background, it consistently tested below the 20th percentile. Last years model was well with above the 70th percentile. In disbelief, I started playing CSGO, PubG, BLOPS4, and the laptop seemed to perform just fine. I was able to pull a good amount of fps at decently high settings, and didn't observed any real dip in performance. This makes me question the results I received from UserBenchmark. Overall though, this is a fine gaming laptop. It will handle most, if not all tasks you throw at it and do it well. The fan is a little loud, and like any gaming laptop the battery really gets taxed when using the GPU, but I wouldn't hesitate to spend money on this computer. I just wish that ACER kept the expansion bays to make future proofing this laptop a lot easier.

Not bad specs for the money. It would be nice if there were color options for the backlit keyboard. The red takes some getting used too
