Bought one for each child and they love it! The use these for all kinds of games. The picture quality is really good as well.

My kids are jealous that I have this bc it was a fan built in and there always on there and have to let there cool down.

This baby is loaded with high-end features and it won't break the bank. I loved it right out of the box, I didn't care for power key placement but I'll get over it. The I5 processor is lightning fast. And the 512gb solid state drive is a great addition. The screen comes in at 17in and has a beautiful resolution in 1080. The backlight gaming keyboard is very nice as you can adjust it to your preference. It also has 8gb of ram (upgradeable to 32). I love this baby. And the only thing missing is more time for me to play on it,

Purchased this laptop after much searching, given the reviews at the time were decent and it was on sale. First laptop I purchased had a single dead pixel on the screen. Additionally the backlighting at the very top of the LCD was very pronounced / bleeding out into the screen itself (though this was only noticeable with very dark backgrounds / pictures.) Still, for $850 (even on sale) even one dead pixel isn't acceptable, and as such I returned it to the store. The associates were very helpful and returned the laptop and also assisted me in placing an exchange order for the same laptop. Unfortunately that was unable to arrive until today. When it came I got it out of the box, plugged it in, and, well, nothing. The replacement would not turn on at all. I let it charge for a bit, tried the "battery reset" process found online (press and hold the power button, etc, etc) and still nothing. After further research I found that I'm not the only person to experience this issue with this particular laptop brand. I now have received two defective laptops in less than a week's time, and now have to figure out the best way to get yet another replacement prior to Monday of next week. Granted, this time said replacement will not be an Acer, given I no longer have any faith in said company or the quality of their products.

I had to return this same make/model 3 times before I got one that didn’t have anything wrong with it. The first one I got wouldn’t power on at all. The second one would turn on, but 80% of the keyboard didn’t work. Finally, the 3rd time getting a replacement, it finally works. Already have had a close call though when I turned tried to wake up the computer from sleep mode and the screen just stayed black. Luckily force shutting down and turning it back on resolved that. All in all, not impressing when 2 out of 3 of the machines had manufacturer defects that literally turned this purchase into an $800+ paperweight... luckily Best Buy stops by me and helped me return every then until I got a working one.

This laptop seemed good at first and I planned on using it for gaming but it just loaded way too slow for my taste, so I had to return it.

Bought 2 for gifts. The recipients were very happy. Solid state drive makes for faster use. Bought on sale - great price.

First gaming laptop I've had and highly impressed. Easy to use, sleek design, red key lighting and amazing specs.

Let me first off start by saying I am an owner of the previous 15" model and I absolutely love it, In this instance there's more of the same with vast improvements. The Nitro5 is a great mid-level gaming computer. It's increase size makes it more usable for playing labor intensive games While not being too big where it is no longer portable. Benchmark test put it in the top 5 laptops in its class. With these improvements makes it a great contender among its peers. Some of the notable improvements are the change from the ADM processor to the I5, also improvements on the bezel design which makes it a lot smooth a to open close where the previous model seemed stiff in a way that you might break it if you weren't careful. As always design is beautiful with this red and black accents and notable soft touch keys. So when you're playing at night time you're not click clicking away and possibly disturbing others around you. Despite one major shortcoming -- a disappointing display, in my opinion -- the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti-equipped machine is a solid value for casual gamers.

This is a great product that I can now use while I go jogging and most importantly they don't fall out.

I was really excited to find a gaming laptop within my price range. Everything worked beautifully for the first 2 days. Turned it on day 3 and the screen went black. Turns out it was the backlight. Sadly had to pack it up for exchange. Thankfully I was able to find one at a different store, so I exchanged it for the same exact laptop, get it home, opened it up and it didn't turn on right away...okay nervous... plugged it in and got it to turn on only to find out NOT EVEN HALF of the keys on the keyboard work. I couldn't even get through the setup stage to see if it could be fixed. Forced shut down and packed back up to be returned... AGAIN! :( Very disappointed with this laptop. I've never had any issues with Acer products until I purchased this one.
