Bought as a cheaper intro gaming laptop and within the first 48 hours the laptop blue screened several times trying to play games well within the specs the laptop should be able to run. Would not recommend.

Picked this laptop up an hour ago. Brought it home, took it out of the box, and it immediately would not start up. I tried all of the outlets in my house and the charging indicator light simply refused to illuminate. Extremely disappointing. Will have to bring back to Best Buy tomorrow.

Stopped working and blue screened after 9 days. Best Buy tried fixing it and said to return it if it kept not working. When I tried to do that, they would not honor the sale price I paid in exchage for a new one. Crappy computer crappy customer service.

Just upgraded from an older gaming laptop, and I am very happy with the improvements. Compared to my old laptop, this one handles all games equally well or better than the old one. I tested it across a range of games with different graphics and system demands. It performed most notably well in Real-Time Strategy (Starcraft 2), 3rd-Person Shooters (Risk of Rain 2), and Simulators (Besiege). All games were run on maximum graphics settings, and I noticed little-to-no drop in smoothness and quality. This one has much better temperature regulation, barely heating up, if at all. I had no concerns about the computer overheating, which was a concern with my old device. However, the fan does get pretty loud. The inclusion of a NumPad is a rare sight on a gaming laptop, but a very welcome one indeed, seeing as it is useful for a variety of the games mentioned above. The laptop itself is moderately light and commendably slim. The charger is lightweight and compact, but still has good reach. The laptop comes with 3 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C, as well as Ethernet, HDMI, and a Headphone/Speaker Jack. I was surprised to see it has a Kensington Lock port (I had to look up what that was for). Overall, it runs fast and smooth, providing a great gaming experience. I haven't had it long enough to judge the battery life, but in my limited testing, I'd say it was average. When gaming, you're really taxing the GPU and CPU, which spins up the fans - all of which burns through battery life. It's probably best to keep your charger with you.

Generally speaking, I am a fan of Acer laptops. However, this Nitro V falls short of being a gaming laptop I can fanboy over. In the box you'll find the laptop, power cable, standard paperwork, and a decent laptop sleeve. I'm going to keep this review simple and straight to the point. Setup was rather easy and quick. Within a few minutes of unboxing I was registered, online, and connected to my online gaming platform. No connectivity issues with the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and the laptop responds as expected. So, right away I notice the fan kicks in almost immediately even during setup. With extremely minimal use the fan turns on and runs non-stop - and it's not the quietest fan on a laptop either. In fact, the only time the fan would kick off is when the laptop was sitting at idle with no use or programs running. Now the upside to this is I experienced no overheating issues, even during long, intensive gaming sessions. During non-gaming sessions and simple general use though, the fan is quite annoying. The keys are backlit, have decent travel (not great but not terrible), and are above average responsive. They work well for both gaming and non-gaming use. The trackpad is sufficient for non-gaming use. The display is a real letdown. No matter what tweaks and settings I used it just had a flat, dull appearance. This really detracted from the gaming experience. It's definitely usable, but not up to par with what I expect from Acer. The one bright spot for the screen is the smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The Ryzen 5 is fine for low to mid gaming processor needs but can struggle at times when maxing out super intensive gaming sessions. Again, for everyday use it does quite well. The NVIDIA RTX 4050 graphics card is a bright spot, holding its own in all situations. It's just a shame this has been paired with a screen that doesn't match the quality. There are plenty of ports with a single USB-C, three USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet, and headphone jack. Battery life is pretty trash. You expect battery life to suffer while gaming or doing anything that is CPU intensive. However, just performing simple tasks such as browsing, email, and working on documents I consistently found myself with 50% battery life after just a couple hours. So where does this laptop fit into the vast market that is gaming laptops? At the current retail price and the overall less than stellar performance, it would not be my first choice. Yes, it definitely holds up during intensive gaming, but the experience is degraded due to the lackluster screen. The obnoxiously loud fan which seems to be nearly constantly running takes away from normal everyday use. I find this laptop difficult to recommend, as there are better options within the same pricing demographic.

    Decent Budget gaming laptop

This laptop is for the budget space and for the price it's ok I think they should of added a Zen 4 CPU with this computer for this price not a Zen 3 CPU I also think if this was priced $100 cheaper MSRP this would be a better deal. Otherwise this laptop is pretty good for what it is. Inside the box you get: The laptop itself The manuals and etc The Charger black Sleeve The Ports: Three USB Type A One USB Type C One HDMI One Ethernet port Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS 6 Core GPU Nividia RTX 4050 GPU 16GB DDR5 Memory 512GB SSD 1080P 144HZ IPS LCD Display The fact this has 16GB of DDR5 Memory is good tho and it's good enough to play whatever games you will be playing on this computer. It has a 144hz display at 1080p and considering it has a 4050 inside that's good enough. You can't be running games at resolutions higher than 1080p and 144 FPS anyways. If you're not looking to play the games at high resolution and details this laptop will play most of your games fine. I would wait for a sale for this laptop tho or look for something with a 4060 which can be found for little bit more.

    Solid Mid-Range Laptop

The Acer Nitro V ANV15-41-R2Y3 Gaming Laptop is a solid contender in the mid-range gaming laptop market. Boasting a 15.6" Full HD display with a blazing-fast 144Hz refresh rate, gaming visuals are smooth and immersive. Powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor and GeForce RTX graphics, it handles modern games with ease, delivering crisp graphics and fluid gameplay. The laptop's design is sleek and modern, with a sturdy build quality that feels durable yet portable enough for gaming on the go. The keyboard offers decent key travel and customizable RGB backlighting, enhancing the overall gaming experience. One drawback is the limited storage capacity, so users might need to invest in external storage or consider upgrading the internal storage for larger game libraries. Overall, the Acer Nitro V ANV15-41-R2Y3 Gaming Laptop offers excellent performance and display quality at a reasonable price point, making it a great choice for gamers looking for a reliable machine without breaking the bank. I tested this laptop with both Halo Infinite and a game that should remind you all of Starship Troopers, both games play great!

Two weeks after buying the laptop it randomly stopped working. After being unsuccessful with Acer tech support over the phone, I had to send the laptop to their repair facility. Again not even 2 weeks later. It has been at the Acer repair facility for almost a week and I am waiting for them to return it. Prior to this it worked fine and did what it needed. The battery life is ok although it dies faster than I would’ve expected. But I’m pretty uncertain if I would recommend it based on my current experience.

    Stuttering/Screen tearing issues

There's stuttering/screentearing issues with every program, you'll be scrolling on any application and suddenly 70% of the screen freezes and doesn't stop until you let it sit for 4 seconds. Additionally there was stuttering in every game no matter how old (tf2) where it would just stop for 1-4 seconds and made playing anything annoying.
