For the price, you can't go wrong with this gaming monitor that performs well for most usage scenarios. I tested out with my laptop, Xbox One X and Chromecast. The Xbox One X does support AMD Free Sync and I was able to test this feature out with Call Of Duty WW2 and Forza 7. Framerate was smooth, especially when playing online which is key since lag can have an effect on gameplay. There's also an option to enable framerate counter that displays on the upper right-hand corner. Playing from my Tv to this you can tell when playing online how much quicker the controls felt. Picture wise is good blacks could be deeper they do have this grey look to it on some scenes. The monitor does have multiple picture profiles optimized for specific situations, for example, you have Action, Racing, Movie and Standard mode. You also get manual settings to set up the picture to your liking. Connectivity options are pretty good you get x2 HDMI ports, VGA, and headphone jack. Speakers are not that good so you would definitely be better off with some external speakers or headphones. Design wise doesn't look cheap for budget gaming monitor. I like the slim bezels gives it a more premium look to it. Overall I was very satisfied with the monitor it perform well from gaming to watching media and productivity. Value wise you get a lot for your buck.

Solid monitor for daily tasks such as work and school. However, colors are incredibly inaccurate and something about the display panel is just...ugly. This wouldn’t be a bad monitor if it was $80, but it’s $150 and you do NOT get your money’s worth. You can go buy an AOC 144hz that will be buttery smooth and look good for $5 cheaper. Do not buy this monitor.

Decent monitors for the price, not the best, not the worst. They’re not as sharp/clear as I’d like, but they’re acceptable for a home office set up.

I first tested this Acer gaming monitor with my laptop for playing games and general computing functions.
Since we are talking about a display monitor, picture quality is crucial and this monitor does not disappoint in that area with the overall picture quality being excellent. Like all LED monitors, brightness is a definite strong point. I immediately noticed the high contrast ratio because in my opinion, contrast ratio is the single most important factor of picture quality. The blacks are inky black and whites are milky white. I can't emphasize enough how critical contrast ration is because it causes the picture to pop.
I use a docking station with my laptop which allows me to use this monitor as a second screen. I found this to be very useful. Especially for work and personal computing projects using multiple software programs simultaneously. The two HDMI inputs are especially useful to do this.
The FreeSync function only works with AMD video cards, so I was unable to test that specific function. However, the native refresh rate of this monitor is obviously high because I noticed no flicker. I also did not experience any noticeable lag when gaming or computing.
I also tested it as a Vudu and Netflix playback monitor using my laptop. This monitor performed well that way even though I don't see myself using it that way very often, because I prefer to watch movies and shows from my couch, but it can be used that way if necessary.
The build quality of this monitor is high. The ergonomic friendly viewing angles are highly adjustable, and can even rotate from the standard horizontal orientation to a complete vertical orientation. I do not have a need to use it that way, but it is a nice feature that some people might find useful with certain software applications.
The built-in speakers are adequate, but I would recommend using external speakers. The laws of physics dictate that you can't get big sound from small, thin speakers. I am using a Logitech 2.1 speaker system, and it makes a big difference when playing games and watching movies.
Another notable feature that I want to mention again is that this monitor has 2 HDMI inputs as well as the standard VGA input. I used the HDMI input to connect my PS4, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I initially thought that the picture would be too small in comparison to my big screen TV, but since I was sitting so close to the monitor I actually found that the scale was comparable and I could see more detail.
If you are in the market for a gaming monitor or PC monitor, you can’t go wrong with this unit.

Aesthetically it is pleasing to look at and you can adjust the height and angle with ease. That however is where it stops...the screen tearing on black or dark backgrounds/games is abysmal and the speaker quality(not that that matters when using a headset or external speakers) is just as bad. There is no way I found on any forums to remedy this problem and can become rather annoying when gaming. The resolution is....well okay I suppose as long as you aren’t aiming at distant targets. My pc isn’t a joke and I spent a little over $1200 on it so the monitor was the low end of my build but there were much better options in that price range.
