Not worth the money

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pay DTV for a genie box and spend $15 extra for an eternity, or extend the signal to another room for a one time fee. Seems like an easy choice, at the time. Initially worked, transmitting approximately 40ft from the living room to my bedroom, but sometimes struggled to connect. Especially when the commercials are analog and it has to switch compression. I began to notice black outs for seconds after the first week, then minutes soon after that. The transmitter gets extremely hot and this causes the blackouts. Ultimately, it would have been cheaper and less frustrating to run an CAT6 under the house, because I wasted $179 and now I cant return the product.
