We bought this product for a rental. This allowed us to hang our tv on the wall without any visible cords.

We've had these for two years now and they are still working great. Needed to put the TV on the other side of the room from the cable hook-up. Couldn't rewire the cable as we live in a one level patio home (no basement). These solved the problem.

This product was recommended to me by a Geek Squad tech as a less expensive remedy to a bad HDMI cable (which would require bringing out an electrician to cut into the wall to replace). I purchased and set it up myself. That part was easy. One annoying thing is that both boxes require their own power sources so had to run an extension cord to the receiver box. Although the wifi HDMI works for displaying the picture, there is a synch problem with the audio and visual, which I find so annoying that it makes the TV unwatchable at times. Sometimes the difference is really stark; other times it is really close that it's passable. NOTE: I've read that the synching gets better the closer the two devices are, but I'm limited in where I can position them.

This HD transmitter provides a beautiful picture on the rare occasions it actually works. I frequently have to unplug the receiver (there’s no power button) to reboot it so it will connect to the transmitter. But then when it does connect automatically, the audio is often WAY out of sync with the video. And I’m talking 3 or 4 seconds out of sync. So once again, unplug it and plug it back in and it’s fine. So if you don’t mind having to unplug the receiver once or twice every time you want to use it, then maybe this will work for you. I have an older Iogear HD wireless transmitter that works nearly flawlessly. Very occasionally I have to power the Iogear off to reset it, but at least it has a power button.

Got the MyWirelessTV2 and hooked it up to add a TV where there wasn't a jack Nov 2017. it worked fine in the line of site about 30 feet away, however we decided to move the TV again, unplugged the MWTV2 and it won't re-pair. I called into actionTec and being a few months outside of their 1yr warranty, they want to charge $19.95 to help solve the connection issue (appears the receiver needs to be re-flashed - it cycles after booting and won't respond). As a home builder, I'd consider myself near expert level in networking and connected equipment / home theater. I'm not looking to ask basic questions, but its ridiculous to be charged for questions, and their web FAQ's are not complete.
