Works perfectly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooked it up to my components about 20 feet away from the TV with a 3 way HDMI switch (sold separately). Plugged it in, hooked it up to the TV mounted over the fireplace and stuffed it behind, and it simply works.

Surprising performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently built a "She Shed" for my wife, so she can do her crafts and what not in peace. I wanted to surprise her by adding a small TV in the shed, but since it is already finished I did not want to cut holes in the walls I just put up. I was very skeptical about these trans/receivers I was looking at, as the walls contained insulation that have a heat shield barrier on one side. Something that looks like it would interfere with the signal passing through it. It looks like an aluminum film. I did go ahead and purchase this unit to try it out, with the option of returning it if it didn't work out as I hoped it would. Turns out it works perfectly, no signal loss, no delays, no interruptions of the signals. It just works!! Only one slight problem I had, no fault of this unit, is to locate the remote sensor on the cable TV box. Once I found the location of the sensor it worked perfectly. Needless to say the wife is happy as can be, and I get to eat another hamburger tonight :-)

good but not for games
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.product is good for movies but not for games. It is not capable to deliver really fast actions in games. I have no problem with communication. Item is small for a lot of people but for me bulky.

Perfect solution for our RV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed something for our RV to get DirecTV into the bedroom without running a bunch of cables outside or adding another satellite box. Works as intended! There is a lag in signal to the receiver, which is annoying only if we've got both TVs on at the same time. I do not have a problem with the audio/video being out of sync on the receiving TV itself. The receiver is hooked up to a 32" LED TV, so the picture quality is just fine. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the IR transmitter for the remote control stopped working. I haven't tried fixing it yet, though. I'm not sure what it would be like in a home, but for our RV needs it is the perfect solution. I went to Best Buy to buy all the cables needed to string outside/inside, but when I saw this I had to try it. So glad I did!

Works Very Good but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product, easy to setup and get functioning. I have it running from the living room to a bedroom almost right above it. The only problem I have is when turning it on each day. I have to cycle the TV power once (turn TV on, turn TV off and then on again) to "wake up" the Mywireless device.

Not What I was Expecting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a LG wireless TV which I purchased from Best Buy. Recently the transmitter stopped working. LG has stopped making wireless T.V.'s. So I was told by Best Buy that the Actiontec wireless system should work as a compromise. The transmitter hooks up with the receiver no problem but each time I shut the TV down I have to pull the power cord on the receiver to get it to hook-up when the TV is turned on again. I called the Actiontec support number provided and was told that each modern cable box resets itself with a code each time the TV is turned on. The Actiontec transmitter is presently not designed to take this into account. Other than that the unit works well. Surely I am not the only one hooking up to a cable box for transmitting. When I read the reviews before buying this negative feature was never reported as far as I could see.

Terrible Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only displayed Actiontec logo on receiver monitor, could not access menu. After hours of troubleshooting, I called Actiontec. Support agent was timid, inexperienced. 20 minutes of silence, I occasionally asked if he was still there, no communication as to what I was waiting for. Finally he gave me a number for a senior agent who wouldn't be available for the next 2 days, said there was nothing he could do. I still have no idea why the product can't do what Actiontec says it can do, but I can't waste anymore time on it.

Must remain on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good picture and sound, but the good ends there. Both units must remain on 24/7 or a hard reset is required. Sound disappears sometimes for no reason. If using with a DVR like from dish, pushing the dvr in another room and trying to resume in the receiver end, no sound will available. Calling the support line was complete waste of time and lack any knowledge of the product. Overall, will keep it for now, but looking for a replacement that stays connected.

Love this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a nice TV in my basement near a fireplace, but my over-the-air DVR is in the living room. I was spending most of my TV time up there so I could catch up on watching recordings. I hooked this up with no problems and immediately was able to watch my recorded programs down stairs without wires! In the summer, I'll take the receiver to the garage where there are no cables at all and be able to watch out there. Great invention and the sale price was a good deal.

Works with Google FIber
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was concerned that this unit might not work with Google fiber, which uses bluetooth remotes and set top boxes. I wanted to relocate my TV to a different spot in the same room, so this application was not a problem. There will be a problem if you want to have the TV in another room because the Wireless Kit uses infrared to control the set top box, which is not compatible. Very easy setup, picture and sound are 100%.

Outstanding IT product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Latency isn't even noticeable, and audio sounds like I'm at the theater!! The only issue I have is with 3D. Both TX and RX are in the same room but my PS4 and my BenQ projector do not like the 3D signal, it's a no-go. Works when I plug the hdmi cable back into projector to AV RECEIVER. Other than that, it has performed flalessly with my Receiver, PS4, and BenQ Projector. Beats the heck out of running hdmi through ceiling and walls!!

Barely works. Consider an HDMI splitter instead
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for an outdoor patio TV. Here’s the good: 1. Instructions are easy to understand. 2. Easy color coded setup. Just make sure the cords are installed right and it does all the rest. 3. Works just like you have another TV box right there. 4. I called their customer support to ask about the picture quality and the call dropped. They called me back twice and made sure we had tried every option. Thats customer service there! Ok here’s the bad: 1. Bought this to use on an outdoor TV. Claims it transmits up to 150’. Kinda works 25 feet through two uninsulated walls. 2. Pixelates every once in a while. 3. This is the major problem- every day twice a night it shuts down the source transmitter TV (in my case the living room). Reboot the transmitter and you can get the living room TV back. I’m using a Directv HD DVR. Customer support said to buy a replacement. Tested the new one and same story. Sadly not happy since I cant leave it connected all the time. Going to have to just plug it in to the Living room box when I need the outdoor TV and unplug it as soon as I’m done.

Good quality - SLIGHT delay
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup, good picture quality. There is a very slight delay, maybe about a 1/2 second. I have them set up about 40 feet apart. The only time you notice it is when someone is talking into the camera (newscasters, intereviews, etc.). During a live sports game, you can hardly notice it. The units were very light. I used one for a mounted TV, and I simple used a 3M Command strip to attach it to the wall behind the TV.

Perfect for the Lanai TV with Dish Network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love it. The transmitter has a HDMI pass-through and you can watch the same channel on both TVs. The IR interface works well with the Dish Network remote. Picture and sound quality are fine. Our distance between the transmitter and receiver is probably less than 60 feet - so not a challenge for the product. The price is a little high, but it beats drilling holes and running cables.

Great Concept, Flawed Execution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the ActionTec to replace a 30' HDMI cable connecting my AV receiver to my projector. Installation was very quick and easy and the audio and video came up immediately. The problem was that the audio and video were out of synch. Lip movements no longer matched what was being said. I contacted ActionTec support and was told this was caused by interference from some other wireless component on the rack where everything is installed. The problem is, none of my other components are wireless. I went back to the store and mentioned this to one of the floor guys working in AV. He smiled knowingly and told me he wished he'd been working when I purchased the device, because he wouldn't have let me buy it. He told me this was a common occurrence and that the ActionTec could actually pick up interference from a neighbor's router. Needless to say, I returned it and went back to my HDMI cable.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found these to be very unreliable! Mine is one bath and one bedroom with a total distance of approximately 25'. I constantly get the video not matching the sound (lips don't match) or complete loss of signal. A reboot of both makes it work immediately, but it is getting old. Guess I'll have to do the CAT6 extenders.

Smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the MyWirrelessTV2 and a new TV (which I now know is not "smart") at the same time. I did not realize the new TV would be in complete control by TV#1, except the sound. I BELIEVE THE SALESPERSON SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THIS AND WARNED ME THAT I NEEDED A "SMART" TV. I did try the IR Blaster Cable, but made no difference. Hopefully someone knows how to make my new non-smart TV independent of TV#1
