    Great For 2nd TV

I purchased this today, hook it up in about 15 minutes and it works perfectly. I would rather purchase this unit than pay Direct TV an extra monthly fee for another receiver. If having the same programming on another TV is what you are looking for, this is a great option. Clear picture and sound.

Used it one day, so far so good. Cable box and tv are about 20' apart. Signal is going through 3 walls to outside patio. I think that is about capacity as I had to be careful with positioning so transmitt and receiver. Great quality pic and sound. Ready for the Super Bowl

    Wireless Video is Good

I'm happy with the distance and picture quality, but the remote control doesn't work well at all. I'm also having problems with the TV that is connected to the Receiver unit. The picture comes and goes every few minutes. I haven't tried calling tech support yet to see if they can help me with this problem.

This product worked really well for us.

This product worked very well and allowed us to Not have to lease or purchase a second satellite receiver for our second television. The wireless feature saved us the hassle of wires and figuring out how to hide all of them. It was also cheaper than wires and a second receiver.

I'm sorry to report that although the product worked (kind of), it was not really usable between my upstairs bedroom and kitchen (line of sight approximately 30 feet with only a floor between). The units had difficult linking up, the remote did not work at all, and the picture and sound were unreliable. I'm going to have to return this product.

I would recommend you go wired

This product is insanely frustrating. It has to be reset almost every time it is used and the transmitter interferes with the primary tv it is connected to. Since the signal has to pass through it first and then on ro my main tv and audio receiver, it never transmits correctly. The picture flickers on an off and I have to bypass the transmitter in order to get it to work. It is insanely annoying, I recommend you stay away unless you plan to never use the TV that the transmitter is connected to. In that case all you will have to do is reset the units almost every time before using it. Also wish the employee at Best Buy was more knowledgeable because they told me there was no real difference between this one and the Best Buy version. As it turns out there is a significant difference as the Best Buy one allows you to use your power outlets to transmit the signal. This would have been a lot better than the stupid wireless connection because it's so unreliable. And of course I'm Way Beyond being able to return or get it repaired under warranty so I think I will use it for target practice the next time I go shooting. Maybe one day this technology will catch up and it will work better. When it works it does work and it does transmit an HD picture but don't expect it to last without having to be reset constantly.

    Disapointed

Well after 3 years of working correctly on and off some of the time my IOGear GW3DHDKIT finally died. So I thought I would give the MWTV2KIT01 a chance and see if it was any better. In Theater mode the picture was great but the audio was completely out of sync and was not able to get into sync. In Game mode the audio was better but still not good however the video would glitch and look bad. The IOGear I do believe was better that the MyWirelessTV2 but both have there issues. I returned the MyWirelessTV2 and got a J-Tech Digital HDbitT from a different vendor and immediately noticed the difference in quality..

    HDMI works great

The actual hdmi works excellently. The rf signal only works when resetting the transmitter and after an hour of use quits working until it is again unplugged and plugged backinto the outlet.

Don't have this within earshot of other TV

Using this device, there is a lag involved when the content is transmitted from a cable box (or other device) to the TV connected to the receiver. This is something that the manual acknowledges. The problem is when you have the receiving TV within earshot of the primary TV connected to the actiontech, the sound overlaps, spoiling the effect. I have a TV in my kitchen (without cable wiring) that I like to use in conjunction with a TV in my living room area, which is close and unwalled. I would only recommend this to a friend without my situation.

    Not for use with projectors

    Posted .

This didn't work for me. I had a Nyrius Aries Home+ that lasted almost a year and a half (1 year warranty) :-(. Except for having to power cycle it fairly often, it worked well with my surround receiver and HD projector - no video lag at all, ever. I wanted to replace it quickly so I bought the only one in stock at a nearby Best Buy - this Actiontec. The video lag was annoying - averaged about a half second. After about 30 minutes troubleshooting with Actiontec phone tech support they said "it's not recommended for use with a projector". Nothing in their literature said that. I returned it and ordered the Iogear GW3DHDKIT from Amazon. So far initial testing shows this works at least as well as the Nyrius - came up running right away with no video lag. Bottom line: the Actiontec does not have the performance to keep up if your audio is hard wired and you're using a projector for video.

    Not a great product

Never worked well. Very inconsistent. It would turn off the TV, but not the cable box. Changing the channel was always a problem. Sometimes worked, sometimes not. To make it work you had to stand in front of the TV. I contacted Actiontec for technical support and they tried to be helpful, but the suggestions did not work. They sent new transponders, however the problem was not solved. Finally gave up and this was a waste of money. By the time I contacted BestBuy to discuss it was to late to do anything.

Don't try to use the two TVs within earshot

Over about 50ft, signal produced a poor quality image that was delayed by 6-7 seconds. This did not allow me to add a second TV to view sporting events when I went around a wall into our kitchen from the family room. I could hear the main TV, but wanted the signal to watch as well. I could stomach a 1 second delay, but 6-7"??? Terrible.

Purchased this for a projector to not have unsightly cables running through my living room. The product does work, but only for basic viewing IMOP. The product worked for watching Netflix but when I wanted to play a video game the lag was there and made playing impossible. I recommend this only for basic viewing and not for high speed viewing like sports or gaming.

When it works, it works (which is 75% of the time)

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The problem with this product is it works, maybe 75% of the time. The signal is very weak, it is not as advertised in terms of distance. I'm literally 20 feet at most, and have trouble maintaining signal. 75% of the time, if my equipment, the transmitter, the projector is for whatever reason lined up well, it will work for hours and hours. If i turn it on and the screen starts to flash, I know I'm going to have a terrible day, it will take 15-30 minutes to unplug, replug, change source settings, etc, until everything works again. I do NOT move the product or any of my other equipment, it just decides to not work on "some" days. VERY annoying and unreliable, especially when you have an event or guests over, turning something on to a blue screen is very deflating. When it DOES work, it works great, so I gave it an extra star. Try to avoid this product if at all possible.

Worked ok for first few years, then stated interrupting my cable signal. Turning signal on and off. A few days ago stopped working altogether. I called the company to see if they would do anything for me. basically said I was SOL. This unit almost caught my house on fire. Then bottom is half melted. I would never recommend faulty electronics like this.

The problem is the device transmits signals in a choppy manner and more importantly, is so slow that the picture winds up not matching the sound so there is a lag between the speech and the picture. I have used other similar devices such as IOGear and they transmit seamlessly while this is not usable.
