Fun Gimmick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With the character creation aspect being the gimmick of this year's Skylanders release, these items are necessary to fully enjoy the experience. The blinking light inside the crystal is a nice aesthetic touch.

Biggest gimmick yet

Not only do you have the figures, but you have "pieces" to buy and these creation crystals. Worse yet, these crystals are hard locked to be stuck as whatever they are set as FOREVER once you do it, so you have to go out and buy more just to modify your digital fake junk on the TV. This is the end of the line for my financial support of skylanders toys to digital. They went to far with this marketing scheme.
