Second visit by Geek Squad to fix TV set up

On the second visit, for another $100, this guy knew what he was doing and got our TV set up correctly in less than ten minutes and explained to us how it worked. Much different experience than the first geek squad guys who delivered and originally set up the TV (for $260) who were clueless and not helpful at all.

I’ll start with the geek squad member who showed up for the second visit. Ashley was very helpful and quickly resolved the issues with my new system. She notified me about her arrival time and was there when she said she would be. She was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with her service. This was the second service call for this product.
The first installation was not by the geek squad rather a contractor. Best Buy had somehow messed up my order so the technician did not arrive until 2 hours after the end of my scheduled appointment time. So I ended up having to wait the whole day to get work done that was scheduled to be done by 1 pm. Had I not called I do not think I would have seen anyone or had my purchase delivered at all that day.
I have no complaints about the technician who did the work. He knew how to install the equipment and worked quickly and competently. I had the impression that he had been assigned my job at the last minute and it was not something he did on a regular basis.
I do not fault the technician for me having to call someone to come again. I hold Best Buy responsible for any delays and the necessary call back.
I have always found the geek squad to be responsive and helpful.

We were having some problems with tv just shutting down.I had a Geek contract. They came out, said Ineeded a new board. Ordered in, had call 2 to insert. geek came, installed board. TV did not work. Wrong board shipped, he spent some time on phone, put board back in, had to wait for another new board. Had another geek to install sound Barr. I got confused with who was going to be here when.Another new board arrived. Was installed set works as it should. I really feel the men the Geeks send out are tops, the schedule makers leave a lot to be desired.

I bought a 77" TV and had the agents mount it along with a sound bar system I bought. I also had them move the TV and sound bar I was replacing to another room in the house. They worked quickly, showed me the important highlights of the new equipment, and did a great job of covering all the cables running down my walls. I ended having a couple of short cables that might interfere with the full rotation of the TV mounts, so I purchased the appropriate cables and the agents returned another day to install the new cables. I highly recommend the Geek Squad for your installation needs!

This is the best money I have spent in some time. Kendall was wonderful and went out of his way to make sure he took care of everything and answered all my questions. He not only connected my Bose sound bar; he also changed a number of settings on the new TV and cleaned up all my cable clutter behind the TV and explained easily how all my components would work together to create the experience I wanted.

The soundbar wouldn't connect to TV by HDMI arc.
Nicklaus found the problem. A chromecast connected to the TV wouldn't let the soundbar connect by HDMI arc. Thanks to Nicklaus for solving the problem by disconnecting the chromecast. Now we get great sound.

I had multiple teams come in due to some issues with the equipment. Each one was awesome. They took time to show my wife and I how each system works and listened to what we would use it for. Excellent job and I feel great knowing it was installed properly.

I received my Yamaha 7.2 channel receiver just after the first of the year. The Geek Squad didn’t really satisfy me, but based on my less than sterling review, Geek management on their initiative contacted me and offered to solve the problems. Yesterday another team came out and did a great job. Now my system sounds just like what I expected, and the features I wanted all work. Best Buy’s cares about customers. They make things right.

The Agent Chris came back to my home and reinstalled the wiring after the cable company changed his original set-up. My new Soundbar had been turning on automatically at 3 AM. He was courteous and efficient and saved the day...or I should say my sleepless nights! The several contacts I had with all the Best Buy staff from purchase, to scheduling, through the final reinstallation was phenomenal. They really do care that the customer is satisfied.

Sound bar stopped working , had geek squad come to the house and check it out. They found it had dropped connedction to sound bar and had pick up wifi and was only sometimes working. Had to powerball down and power up make a few adjustments and whala its now working great.
