My TV was installed and hung by the Geek Squad utilizing the IN WALL POWER EXTENSION KIT. The TV has lost the screen twice since 12/26. Both times I was able to restore the power. My other TV’s in the house had no such problem. I had to reboot the TV the second time it happened. Don’t know as of yet if the Kit or TV are defective or just a loose connection. If it happens again the Geek Squad will be called to diagnose the problem.

Purchased this item on August 4. Installer told us it's against their standards to install in plaster even though we thoroughly questioned this. They rescheduled for us with another technician, 4x in total. I have definitely lost credibility with my employer requesting off 4x for a television installation. Best buy does say they'll complete the service on Sept. 19th. Although, Best Buy has told us many things and reneged multiple times. Wish you luck in your purchases/services. My experience has been very disappointing and frustrating.

Unable to install due to size limitations of the unit itself, too bulky, did not fit in wall area.

I was super disappointed that because I have a chimney they were unable to hide my cords behind wall.

This was an uncesseray thing that they did. It was not needed but it did not hurt to have. Neutral on this one.

Turned out we didn’t need this to be done for the tv to be set up properly

I'm still not really sure what exactly this is...the description was vague.

The installer installed as required. Went above and beyond to ensure tv was perfect.

The installers were not able to install in wall due to construction restraints.

We couldn’t use this where we wanted it in our living room because the wall backs to a bathroom

I scheduled the mounting of three tv’s more than four times and my tv’s are still not mounted. They are still in the boxes leaning against my walls. I have been stood up while waiting for these to be mounted. I have waited for eight hours just to have no one arrive. My last reschedule, no one showed either. I tried multiple times to get this service completed to no avail. I’ve went back in the store, I’ve called the number and asked for a manager of some sort. Still no resolve. I am a consistent and loyal customer to Best Buy but I haven’t purchased a thing from you all since. Just ridiculous

Best Buy associate said that we would get a geek squad member to do the install. Was not true. Best Buy sent a third party company that said they couldn’t do it. After speaking with the Best Buy associate that sold me the tv and service said that it shouldn’t have happened. I like the total tech membership just wish Best Buy would have stood by what they offer.

Guys were awesome, they hung up tv and looks great, but they weren't able to hook up my surround sound properly and my speakers outside dont work anymore and now I have to use 3 remotes. I called geeksquad and lady said that would have to be separate Workorder to hook everything back up how it was before I had new TV installed. Sales guy sold me on tech support and install, I was going to do it myself but my wife said let them hook up that way everything is done right. Well now I'm paying another 49.99 to have them come out again and do it right. Before this nothing but great experience! But now I give you guys 1 star and probably won't buy anything from you guys again.

I did a review earlier on the installation. The guys whos installed it made a location mistake and hit a supporting/structural 2x4. Instead of owning up and fixing the mistake, they tried to hide it while they chiseled away some of the 2x4 so the fixture would fit in the hole they cut.

The product is fine, it works as you expect. What I do not recommend using Geek Squad services to install it. They literally butchered my wall. The technician apologized for his work and assured me that I would be contacted "shortly" to have the holes in my wall repaired. It has been over a month with no progress in my claim and I am left looking at holes in the wall and an electrical socket dangling off the wall. We thought it would be nice and convenient to have professionals come and hang our TV after our purchase at Best Buy but there was nothing professional about it.

I bypassed earlier available appointments to schedule a morning 8am - 12 noon appointment almost a week out; then the night before my scheduled appointment, I received an email from Best Buy Geek Squad advising me they have rescheduled my appointment to the afternoon from 12 noon to 4 pm. I work aftns and will not be available then. Now, only available morning appointment is another week away. That is very poor, unprofessional service for which they charge a premium price. Then, I call the Geek Squad 1-800 number and was advised there is nothing they can do after being placed on hold for over 30 minutes. This is unacceptable to say the least!

Paid for installation but was not told that I had to supply the materials that would be used in the installation. I was told that I would be contacted about the materials needed and a new installation date would be set. There was no call and I ended up doing the installation myself. I did a so-so job and should only get 3 stars for the work. The two service people did an excellent job installing the tv support and the tv, 5 stars for that.

Make sure you have long enough hdmi cables. It is what it is.
