The service is horrible. They came to my house, told me what I needed, and ordered it, But they say that they ordered some of the wrong parts. They told me this AFTER installing some of the parts (I had 4 solar-powered security cameras installed with 4 solar panels, and they ordered the wrong solar panels). They originally told me that i had to keep the incorrecr solar panels and that I would have to wait a week or 2 for the correct solar panels. I did not receive ownership of those incorrect panels, but 5 weeks later, I still had not heard anything. I called for a status update, and was informed that they have no ETA on the correct solar panels, and company policy requires them to stop trying and let me order them from the manufacturer or something... and they could only refund me for the cost of the solar panels. I objected and am waiting on a response from a manager. It has been about a week. I suspect I will have to go there in a few weeks myself.

This is the third time I purchased a geek squad service in the last six months that was unable to be completed due to Bestbuy's newfound outlook on providing service based on an agreement. Their $200 total protection plan is worthless, unless you are getting a few TVs mounted. Other than that, they won't do anything that they say they will when you speak to representatives on the phone or in store

I purchased a home security system, 2 Alexa echos, door lock & router. After 4 visits by geek squad (1 was from a second party contractor- for the door lock), the router never operated properly, my home internet frequently spontaneously disconnected, the doo lock was not installed properly & was never operable, I reached out to the geek squad hot line, the geek squad installer who did the installation & the sales person in the store who sold me all of the equipment when I started experiencing problems with the functionality of the equipment. The installer & the in store employee never responded to the messages I left for them. The geek squad hot line told me no one was available to come address the issues I experienced for 2 weeks! My home security system was inoperable that entire time. After waiting 2weeks, the repair man still was unable to fix the issues so I returned all of the equipment and asked for a full refund. This entire experience was horrible & I don’t see myself or anyone else that I know giving Best Buy any business ever again.
