Soundbar never mounted, charge still posted
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, this is not a complaint against the Geek Squad themselves, rather than the subcontractors they signed. Best Buy told me that they could only get subcontractors out because of my "location" this is completely bogus because i had another TV mounted a day later and the real Geek Squad came out and did a wonderful job The subcontractors that came out were polite and did a good job, however they could not mount the soundbar because they lacked the proper equipment (which makes no sense since the order asked if i had the proper mount, which I clicked no). So at the end of the service, they had me speak with the best buy customer service, i specifically told them at the time, and the subcontractor even said at the time that we didn't install the soundbar, and that i would be getting that portion of the money back. As you can see where this review is going, I obviously didn't get that money back. I called Best Buy twice, both of the times they responded with generic "we will look into it and call the subcontractor" and never called me back. So I'm still stuck with a 50 dollar bill and a soundbar that is not mounted

Posted .Hi there! If I paid for something, I'd expect it to be done or a refund to be processed as quickly as possible. It sounds like we are already looking into this for you, but if you do not hear back within the coming business days, please do stop by your local store.

Sound bar install

For the price of the install you can find someone off the internet to do it cheaper and maybe better.

NIGHTMARE ON MY STREET!

BECAUSE OF THE CONNECTION OPTIONS FOR THE TV, DVD, CABLE BOX, AND SOUND BAR, THEY HAD TO FIND A WAY TO CONNECT EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH EACH COMPONENT ONLY SUPPORTED ONE CONNECTION TYPE , AND THEY WERE NOT THE SAME OPTION!!. THESE THINGS ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING IN ELECTRONICS, AND WHEN YOU HAVE COMPONENTS OF DIFFERENT AGE, THIS BECOMES A PROBLEM. THE GUYS HANDLED THE CHALLENGE ADMIRABLY AND CAME UP WITH THE IDEAL SOLUTION. I WOULD STILL BE STARING AT THE WHOLE SET UP WONDERING WHAT TO DO.

Moving it and had to have Other team to come out and reinstall I and have filed Best Buy insurance co(sedge wick) and after. 2 months of contact call e mails etc to Best Buy and the Ins.co I Have had no RESPONSE they always say they will get back Even took my damaged tv to Best Buy the manager promised they would be In contact , ! That was another two weeks ago????! Where is your customer service , Best Buy????

I have been hung up on and transferred from dept to dept. Why cant you simply call the store and speak to a person there? This auto direct to some place else is ridiculous.

Disorganized, Lack of communication, Inconsistency

There’s so much delay of delivery. -assembly, & installation even if you pay 2 months in advance. No written/email communication of the reason for delay. Supervisor is unreachable. Scapegoating is probably the most appropriate term.

Dissatisfactory install

I contacted Total Tech via chat and agent Uday said he rescheduled the install (order number 51692702) and said I would receive an email confirmation…which I have not received..nor can I see the appointment scheduled on my Best Buy account. Please advise

Geek Squad not the best choice for Sound bar mount

After more than TEN RESCHEDULING of appointments between February and December, for ridiculous reasons, I cancelled the service for this part. They mounted the TV just fine, but couldn’t seem to figure out which part was needed for the sound bar.

Lousy Service

Was lied to by the original geek squad installer, who should be fired. Wasted countless hours organizing original botched installation and more time to coordinate a fix.

Geek Squad is a failure of a service.

Geek squad is a lie.
