    Haul Away was with third party. Told coming 12-6. Then 12-4:00. Shocked when door bell rang at 9:15 a.m. Took no time to remove big t.v. however, they left our front door wide open when they left.

    NEVER USING BEST BUY FOR ANYTHING AGAIN. I scheduled this service 3 weeks ago and today was the first availability they had to remove and haul away a tv no longer working. I am moving tomorrow and told them this. They advised me last night by email - NO PHONE CALL - that I would have to reschedule. I spent an hour on the phone and they could not perform the service. I am moving tomorrow. I called another company that will be here in the next 2 hours.

    When I made the order I let someone know that the haul away tv was a large older tv with the big tube and was very heavy. They would need 2 guys with a hand truck and preferably a truck with a lift gate to take the old tv away. Low and behold they send 1 young fellow (a nice guy) with no helper, a van with no lift gate and he had no hand truck. I should have sent him away or he should have left on his own. Anyway, to move things along I got my hand truck out of the garage and helped him myself. I paid you guys to do this! Remember! He's a young fellow, I'm an old guy at 65. In the process of horseing around this old "fat back" tv he lets go of his end and my finger gets smashed under the tv. It hurts bad enough and still does but we get the tv on my hand truck get it out to his no lift gate van and roll the tv like a cube on to the van. Later that day I went to Walgreens to get splint formy finger. Couple of days ago I notice the splinted finger is not really healing right and go to my local Drs. office. Took xrays and got a new splint and they're sending me to another doctor. Nice one Best Buy, next time I think I'll go to a smaller local store that provides good customer service.

    Best Buy Make Promises They Don't Keep

    Do not believe it when Best Buy says they will install and haul away new TVs. I purchased theirTotalTech for $200/yr. It included free installation and haul away. However, my TV was delivered and the shipper, Shipt, said they did not do installations and haul away. I contacted Best Buy and they said someone would be out between noon and 8 PM the next day. No one showed up and no one contacted me. I called Best Buy at 8PM and they said someone would show up before 9PM and they would contact me. No one showed up again. After contacting Best Buy again, they said someone would be out the next day. Again, no one showed up and I contacted the company that was supposed to come out. They had to contact the local company, but no one was answering the phone. After several attempts to resolve my issue, I set up my TV on my own (it took me 2.5 hours to do this). At 7PM, I was finally contacted and someone came out to pick up my old TV. I would be very skeptical about anything Best Buy promises. I have another issue with Best Buy where their shipper (Shipt) canceled my next order and I was never notified. The Best Buy website only said the deliver was delayed. So beware of Best Buy promises!!!

    I FEEL THAT AFTER PURCHASING A NEW TV FOR MEGA DOLLARS THEN PAYING BEST BUY TO HAUL THE OLD ONE AWAY IS PURE GREED; ESPECIALLY AFTER PAYING SO MUCH TO HAVE THE NERDS COME OUT, NOT ONCE BUT TWICE TO SET IT UP LEARNING TO OUR DISMAY THAT NEITHER OF THE NERDS WERE EDUCATED ABOUT SETTING UP A TV WE HAVE FINALLY MUDDLED OUR WAY THROUGH TRIAL N ERROR TURNING THE TV OFF AND ON, NO EASY TASK FOR SUPER SENIORS!

    I bought the new Smart TV and the free "tell you what you need" first visit. Hired the installation and all because I wanted someone to haul my dead one away. The thing was a CRT that weighed 250#. a FACT i was upfront about. The day they come to hook me up, none of my peripherals would connect. Battabing battaboom. My Dead one is face down in my yard and no one would return my calls. But Haul away was canceled. I got lucky and pleaded my case to a tech who sent a truck the very next day for the original $24.95. As far as I'm concerned they aren't to be trusted to keep their word.

    Geek Squad Phone Representatives are HORRIBLE! #2

    This was the first time I have called the BB Geek Squad for a service appointment. No representative showed up on the scheduled day. I attempted to reschedule only to be placed on hold and never called back. One telephone representatives made a mess of the original appointment. The representatives never called me back as promised. The representatives will place you on hold and never pick up again. I asked to speak with a supervisor only to be placed on hold again for 30 minutes. There is no way to speak with a supervisor or anyone of authority. I still do not have a complete refund for the service call I was charged for. I do NOT recommend ever calling the Geek Squad phone number because the representatives can do anything without any repercussions. I used to be a BB fan. Now I will only deal with employees at the local store. I spoke with three different representatives all with the same outcome. What has happened to Best Buy?
