    Geek Squad delivered and set up my TV

    The delivery men called to let me know they were on their way. They helped move my old TV, then set up the new one including doing all of the settings (which would have taken a lot of reading and time and I probably wouldn't have gotten them all right). They were efficient and knew what they were doing. They did a great job.

    The wonderful folks from the Geek Squad delivered and installed the new TV and also trained my wife and me on the new smart Sony TV. They even checked our bedroom TV to make sure it was working well, too. We love Best Buy and the wonderful Geek Squad!

    Two Geek Squad members installed out new TV and connected our existing soundbar in a professional and courteous visit. They also assisted us in learning the remote and connecting with outside streaming services .They were very polite and took the time to make sure we understood their installation and walked us through the setup.I am very happy we used them in this process and would repeat if another setup for another unit was needed.

    Setup is Easier with GS Help

    Turns out there are many more steps to properly setting up a new TV than just plugging it in. It actually took about 20 minutes to run through all the necessary settings and get things ready to go. The GS agent took us through the entire setup, which we would have found much harder on our own. Their experience in getting things done correctly is essential.

    Geek Squad technician quickly installed my Samsung

    Fast installation and connection to my fiber optic internet. Technician demonstration some basic operation using the accompanying Smart Remote. But I recommend purchasing Samsung Standard Remote for easier navigation to local TV channels.

    The Tech was told to just deliver TV per his work order. I explained to him that it was a delivery and set up. He made time to do the delivery and set up. We had issues with the TV stand that we thought we were going to hang the TV on. He tried everything he could to get it to work. In the end it didn't. But that was not the Tech's fault. He was very nice.

    Was well worth it. Technician took down old TV and hookups and set up new TV. Ensured everything was working. Offered some guidance and tips on the use of the remote and apps. Hauled away the old TV. Everything left nice and neat.

    We bought an LG OLED65E6P in 2016. After a couple of years, there was burn in on the screen, from too many hours of cable news - the banners don’t change enough and don’t move enough to prevent burn in. I visited the Best Buy store nearby and they said that since I had bought the protection plan, they’d replace it with a new 2018 model. Which is great! However, the 2016 model was mounted on the wall, so I had to get Geek Squad to come out and take the old TV off the mount and put the new one on. Two guys came and they did a great job. It took the two of them to handle the TVs so they didn’t get damaged. To make it a little harder, the mount had to be moved up on the wall to make room for the bottom of the new LG TV to clear the TV stand I have below it. They waited to be sure I was satisfied that everything was working, after we went through the first time set up. No way I could have taken the thing down myself - it’s not heavy, just awkward. Plus I had a hard time seeing behind the TV as to how the mount was connected to the TV. They figured it out and it’s a done deal. 3 words of advice: 1) Get at least a 2 year Best Buy warranty extension if you get an OLED. The picture is the best you can get, but they are subject to burn in, as I learned the hard way. 2) Have Geek Squad mount the TV on the wall for you. Your TV will stay on the wall during an earthquake, and otherwise be mounted correctly. 3) After 30 days or so, have Geek Squad come out and adjust the colors and other settings. You will get the perfect picture after they use their analalysis tools to get it to perfect specifications. It takes about 30 days of viewing to warm up the TV, to get it ready for the calibration. A 4th recommendation is to buy the 1-year tech support contract they have. Even if you don’t need the tech support, you get discounts on things like the calibration and wall mounting that easily pay for the contract and then some.

    The very nice young couple who set up our new tv did a great job. They were very polite and knowledgeable. I do think $200 is a bit pricey for this, and I hope the folks who set it up receive most of the payment.

    First set of techs were excellent. They went through all the settings on the TV, connected my devices, remotes, etc. Had to exchange TV which was easy but second set of techs sort of rushed in and rushed out. Didn’t offer to set up my directv or roku remotes to control the TV like the previous techs. Thank God I knew how to do it or it would have been a needless call to tech support. Both sets of techs clean and took everything away as agreed.

    The agents were prompt and polite. They got everything hooked up and were kind enough to show me how to work the remote They also arranged for switching to cable from tv in a very easy way for me to do! Very grateful for that and the tutoring they gave!!

    I did not have them mount TV. Liked it on my new TV stand. Hooked up TV, put new wire on my tv got my Comcast up and running in no time.

    Glad I had geek squad take care of everything the rats nest is gone everything was connected and linked no more reading of manuals only need two remotes now one for the tv one for streaming
