    I wanted to upgrade my home theater experience, so I dropped $4,000 and got 5 surround sound speakers for $300 apiece, a subwoofer for $1000, 75" TV for almost $800, installation, accessory parts, etc. It took me calling Best Buy 3 times to get the installation scheduled. Once they installed everything, they didn't check their work. It took me sitting down and testing the TV to discover the video settings were wrong. Everything was purple. Then I noticed the speakers weren't angled for the optimal surround sound experience. I even prompted the dude and asked if the speakers tilted. He said, "not much." The front speaker was crooked, so i adjusted it myself and discovered all of the speakers can be tilted dramatically. Also, the sub came with a protective cloth cover. They didn't attach that. When i tried, it wasn't even the right size. Now i have to take it to the store to make sure I get the right one. Horrible experience.

    the geek squad came over to install a amplifier and dvd player i purchased from best buy unfortunately when we stream there is no surround sound hence i assume it was installed incorrectly

    Great team of installers and very professional. But No follow up to see if everything is working properly or not. Speakers not properly calibrated.

    install ok. but they didnt get the blu ray player to work. I called back and nothing. So they seem to not care of about the customer.

    Total of $300 installation package for TV mount, speaker installation and receiver set up. Components installed differently than desired. Guys unwilling to change locations to where I wanted them.

    I had someone come in to look at my media room and they advised me that I was able to do a 7.1.2. So, I ordered the speakers they came back to do the installation and said they would be able to add the two speakers in the ceiling. The reason was there was no attic access ... In other words they didn't want to work to fish the wire down the wall they wanted it to be very easy for them to do it. Hence I would have to go with the 7.1 system with no ceiling speakers. So they installed the speakers however they did not calibrate the system very well. Then they told me one of the speakers was busted and I had to order another one. When the new speaker or the replacement speaker came in nothing change. So then they said it was a wiring issue. But as far as fixing the issue the tech actually said "don't know what to tell you". Precedes to tell me all of these things that could be wrong and what "I" could do. Here over a month later they still have yet to refund me the money I paid to have the two ceiling speakers install.

    Technician unable to install subs. Not entirely his fault. I was advised by Best Buy Home Theater Consultant that my receiver could handle two additionally subs, it could not. However, the geek squad tech was not able to provide me with any solution or resolution on how to move forward so I just returned the speakers.

    Service was cancelled and has yet to be rescheduled with the pandemic going on. Hoping geek squad will call to reschedule when able. Took a while for initial appt to be scheduled.

    Knowledgeable, but a lot of messing around and chatter that is inappropriate, IMO. Don't expect problem-solving and if you want "no mess" then say so before. Expect handprints on the walls and many, many calls to home base to ask about how to plug a TV into the electrical outlet. My job eventually got done and while nice and friendly, a 1-2 hour job took 4. BestBuy, send professionals with some training.

    Delivery guys are great but when they get here they discover there are missing components and they can’t complete the installation. Very frustrating!

    5 months to install Samsung Home Theater properly

    Best Buy Bay Shore had a home advisor Paul Funari come to my home in October 2021, we purchased an 85" tv and a surround sound system and we were told by Mr Funari that we no longer need to go to nest buy that going forward just call him and he would handle all my electronics and appliance needs... on the day of installation the home theater was damaged. I reached out to Mr. Funari and he wouldn't take my calls. So I had to go back to the store, not once, not twice, or three times, it took four times and almost 5 months to get our home theater finally installed properly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING ANOTHER ELECTRONICS STORE OTHER THAN BESTBUY!

    First time the team came to install they forgot parts for the projector. They also left the screen not installed on the wall and bent the frame. I had to wait another 10 days to get the system installed. The project manager called Todd said I would receive a 200$ gift card which never happened. I have been very disappointed with the way this project was managed. I have been an elite member for years and I don’t believe this is the way to treat your members. One good point is the second team that came to install did an excellent job and fixed the bent screen.

    I needed ceiling speakers installed, so I went to Best Buy. I spoke to a clerk at the store and described my request, described my home (split ranch) and the work environment. Attic is not a full space, but enough to do the job. The install was scheduled 3 weeks out. I received a call from the installer the day before the appointment asking me to describe the home. I did. All set. When the installer arrived, he examined my living room and attic. He then stated that he could not do the job as the attic was not a full attic. I was never told there was a chance the install would not occur. Additionally, there is no reason it was not done. I had an electrician at my home a few months earlier to install a light fixture - he was in and out of the attic with no issues. I would figure a ceiling speaker install is very similar. I understand that there may be issues with homes where requested work cannot be performed, but this was not the case. I have a standard home, my attic space is like many others. I would not recommend Best Buy for installs.

    Waited 10 days for a set of in ceiling speakers to be installed. Install was canceled by Best Buy the night before with no reason provided. Best Buy told me there was no appointments avaliable for another 3 weeks. Went to the store where purchase was made. Manager said he would call and try to get me moved up. Never happened. 4 days later I canceled the install and moved on. Obviously a miserable experience.

    Agents I’m sorry did not do a very good job wiring my pool speakers. Wouldn’t have used conduit if I didn’t already have on hand. Didn’t bury after. Left the wired exposed where connected together. Didn’t even electrical tape connections. Wish I didn’t pay for this
