Good sounding bluetooth headphones

These are good sounding in-ear Bluetooth headphones. They come with 4 earpieces to adjust for almost any ear. I like them to be snug, so I changed them out, relatively easy, for the next bigger size. The packaging is on the cheap side, but you aren't buying these for the packaging. There is a pouch for storage and a REALLY small charging cable. The charging cable is USB-C which I love since most android phones are so equipped. I have attached a picture of what comes in the box. They came with 80% charge but I juiced them up to full in about an hour. As for sound, they paired really fast and were recognized by my galaxy S8+. I played Pandora and some saved music through them and they sound very clean, leaning toward bright. Bass and midrange are good and I really enjoy using them. I did notice after about an hour that I noticed that they were in my ear. The pods themselves are bulky and putting the cable behind your neck causes them to shift around. I jogged around the house for a few minutes and placing the cable in the front almost eliminated this issue. All the buttons work great and function perfectly. I notice that I could max out the volume without distortion but at times I was wanting more loudness. Finally, my wife said she could barely hear them standing a couple of feet away but it was not annoying. Overall, I really like these headphones and will continue to use them, especially for travel as they fit nicely in the pouch. I received this product as part of the Best Buy Tech Insider Network.

Solid "wireless" headphones, with a cord

Depending what you are searching for these headphones could be the perfect fit.
To begin the packaging was very sleek - the headphones were well protected in tissue-paper and the sizable ear pieces were so well protected I actually did not notice them during the unboxing. The headphones come with a soft cloth pouch for safe-keeping. I am accustomed to a hard case for over-the-head headphones, so the sleek and softer case is convenient for easy storage. The headphones also come with a USB-C charging able. This cable is VERY short, and does not come with a power adapter. So you either need a USB adapter for a power outlet or a USB port to charge the headphones but who doesn’t have a few dozen power cubes laying around at this point in life anyway. The play time of the headphones is fabulous, I am unsure if they live up to the 16 hours claimed, but I can say I have used them quite heavily throughout the day and have yet to have them die while in use (I am a charge my electronics while I’m sleeping kind of person).
The two ear pieces are connected by a cloth cord. This I feel leads to a choice of personal preference - prefer sleek individual ear pieces or “wireless” corded earpieces that are Bluetooth enabled. The pros to the cord are that the overall headphones are larger than just individual ear pieces – more difficult to lose and allows you to easily remove one ear piece if having a conversation or listening to your surroundings without needing to worry about where to place that ear piece. The cons are that there is a cord. You have a cord behind your neck, a minor detail, but can get in your way and speaking of the cord itself, the integrated control buttons are a hardened piece within the cord and if you tilt your neck just at the correct angle to the right, you can press that piece into your shoulder.
The control buttons have one to turn the headphones on or off, along with stopping or starting music and picking up a call (these are blue tooth call enabled). There are also upper and lower buttons for changing the volume right from the headphones. There is also a customizable button that using the Adidas app is able to link with Spotify. This allows you, based on clicks, to either play a certain playlist or artist without opening up your phone and then Spotify, a nifty feature while active.
Speaking to the ear pieces themselves, they are of moderate size and the headphone piece does protrude from the ear a decent bit. The ear piece has a “twist fit system” including silicone ear wing and silicone ear tip. Each piece is provided in 4 different sizes to allow one to interchange them for a most comfortable fit. I can never fully get silicone ear pieces to fit perfectly into my ear where they feel 100% comfortable, but I would say I got these around 90% comfortable and able to not fall out which is often an issue as well.
Overall use of the headphones. The headphones have had no issue staying in my ears while walking or while around the house. I actually fell asleep with one earpiece in one night and recall waking up during the night with the earpiece still in place.
The audio quality of the headphones is acceptable given price point of the headphones and type of headphone. These headphones are NOT noise canceling. It had been probably two years at this point that I have used headphones without noise canceling features and it did take a few uses to get used to that. However, you are able to both clearly hear your music while someone is speaking or there is noise around, and the sound quality is not greatly diminished because of this. Through the Adidas app you are able to do some basic equalizing, which is a wonderful feature. There are only 5 separated ranges for equalization, but this feature is an improvement on headphones without equalization. The audio itself, especially with the use of the equalizer, comes through sounding crisp; however, they are not the finest quality audio I have ever used. That being said, I am pleased with the audio to the point I have not taken my noise cancellation headphones out of their case since having these headphones unboxed.
In regards to phone calls, I have received few while using the headphones and the call quality is reasonable. I did need to turn up the volume a bit to hear the conversation clearly, but the users voice is picked up well and I thought the quality was acceptable for a conversation with Bluetooth headphones.
The app itself – my phone asked to install the app when I first paired the headphones. The app is very simplistic, easy to understand and use. No complaints.
All in all, I am pleased with these headphones. I would recommend them to a buyer that has in mind certain desires for headphones that this product falls within.

I was very excited to try the adidas - FWD-01 Wireless In-Ear Headphones since I have been on the market for a set of headphones to use while walking. I’m probably in the minority, but I remain a fan of over-the-ear headphones. Unfortunately they can be awkward to use during exercise as well as block most ambient noise making them unsafe to wear when walking outside.
My first impression was that the packaging was plain but subtly attractive and made to be extremely protective of the contents. The removal of the outside packaging and addition of a bow would make these headphones readily gift able with no other wrapping necessary. Included is the headset, a soft, mesh-lined neoprene, self-securing pouch (5 ½ x 4 inches) with the USB-C charging cable (3 7/8 inch total length) in its own compartment, a card that holds 4 sets each of “Ear Wings” and ear tips (minus 1 set of each which come pre-attached to the earpieces), a quick setup guide, and a legal and safety booklet. No charging block is included but the headphones can also be charged using a standard USB port and are comparable with fast charging.
The headphones themselves are extremely attractive despite their simple design. They are made of a durable, slightly heavy, rubber material and have a matte finish. They are advertised to be both sweat proof and water-resistant. I have yet to saturate these with sweat or get them wet but they appear to be easily wiped down with a damp cloth. I personally prefer a wireless headset with a headpiece, or in this instance a knit cord, instead of wireless earpieces specifically due to how easy it is to misplace/lose earbuds. One earpiece has an LCD light on it to indicate charging/pairing status. The knit cord is soft, flat, tangle-free, and it’s easy to forget you have it around your neck. There is a magnetic connection (see photo) between the earpieces that helps prevent the headset from dislodging when around your neck but the earpieces have to be positioned just so for maximum adherence. The length of the knitted cord between the earpieces measures right at 18 ½ inches and if your neck is larger-sized then you will be unable to affix the earpieces to each other using their magnetic attraction. In my opinion the addition of some sort of removable clip to attach the headphones to clothing would be great. As would making these available in other colors. There are 3 buttons on the right side of the cord that control volume, play/pause, and on/off/pairing functionality. There is one button on the left side of the cord, an “Action” button which can be configured using the adidas headphone app to provide voice assistance, play a specific Spotify playlist, or one of many other customizable actions. The buttons themselves are slightly raised, easy to locate, and situated on lightweight, metallic-feeling bars affixed inside the knit cord. Bluetooth 5.0 allows for quick and easy pairing and installation of the adidas headphones app was not necessary prior to use of the headphones despite being asked to install it upon the initial pairing. The headset came precharged (80%) and ready to use out of the box.
My initial use of the headset was delayed while I attempted to adjust myself to the push & twist insertion method required. I changed out both the “EarWings” and ear tips several times to achieve my most comfortable fit and actually ended up using different sizes for each ear to achieve my personal level of comfort. It took me several tries to get the earpieces to stay in place but once they were in they stayed until I removed them, even after doing several chores around the house and going for a walk. The earpieces did not seem overly large to me but might to someone who is used to wearing in-ear wireless earbuds. The sound quality was great and an added advantage was being able to easily hear sounds around me while using them. These headphones are not noise canceling. Adidas advertises up to 16hrs of play on a single charge and I have used these for many hours over a period of several days and they are still at 30% without additional charging. I was also able to use the Bluetooth connection to take phone calls while wearing the headset and the audio was crisp and clear with no noticeable interference during the calls. I think that I have found what I was looking for in these adidas headphones. Only time will tell how durable they will be but I have high expectations in addition to high hopes for their continued performance.

I own a lot of Adidas...sportswear. So I was a bit skeptical of these but picked them up anyways. I liked the look and style, so I picked them up. I wasn't sure I was going to keep them but I was intrigued. Color me surprised!
These in-ear headphones are great for working out. I've been using them every morning for the last week and I must say, Adidas turned out a really good quality set of Bluetooth sports headphones. The sound, including the bass, is quite good. Their build is solid and I expect these to be pretty durable while remaining light enough you almost forget they are there. I like the flat fabric cord the headphones are attached to. A really nice touch is the magnetized earbuds, something I quite like on my (former) favorite pair of sports headphones.
The set came with four different ear tips and wings which is helpful because I need a slightly larger ear tip in my right ear than my left. So I always appreciate vendors that provide enough variety to ensure a comfortable fit in both ears. It also came with a nifty soft carrying bag with a slot for the charger cord.
Really happy I picked these up!

Great Earbuds with Customization Controls

The Adidas FWD-01 is a great looking set of earbuds with sound that will not disappoint you! It amazes me how good earbuds are these days. It seems like they are all pushing the envelope with sound quality so what else is there for to set them apart? Adidas came up with a few things.
1. Besides the three normal controls of volume up, volume down and play/pause there's a configurable "Action" button
2. They're sweat-proof
3. They have a knitted, not to be confused with braided, cord that does look really really cool!
4. 16 hour battery life is pretty impressive!
5. There's an app for your phone to configure the Action button and set the equalizer!
Sound
The sound is excellent! Rich highs and deep base provide a full and well rounded listening experience. I tested them with different styles of music. I also tried some 24-bit 48KHz FLAC files from a source meant to play them well and they sounded perfect. If you're looking for great sound quality I don't see how you would be disappointing. One advantage the FWD-01 earbuds have is the app with the EQ. It's simple to use and you hear the sound change in real-time as you scroll through the list of presets or make a custom one. This will let you tune the already great sound to your liking! It's only a 5 band EQ but it seemed very effective.
Design
The knitted cord between the two earbuds is probably what stands out the most. It has a great look and feel to it. The right side has three buttons. The left side has one button. I think the ear buds are large. Not necessarily too large but bigger than most these days. I don't find the size to be a problem and actually it is nice that their easy to hold and the angular design makes them easy to twist into place. There's a nice large LED on it that's very easy to see for charging status etc. It has a USB-C charging port and comes with a very short USB-A to USB-C cord so you can plug it into most laptops, for instance, to charge it. You can adjust the fit with the included four sizes of two replaceable parts for each earbud. They fit me well with the default one that came on. It's a comfortable fit. While they look big they don't feel heavy. There's a nice carrying bag that's included too.
Controls
The controls work very well for me. You can pause the music by taking them off and magnetically attaching the two earbuds which I find convenient. You use the middle button on the right side of the cord as play/pause and then you double press it for next track and triple press it for previous track. I was skeptical of the controls at first but they work very well. It's easy to get the correct button and the press has a good feel to it so you know when you pressed it. The top and bottom buttons are volume up and down. The left side of the cord has one button. This button is the Action button and it's configurable using the free app. You can configure single, double, and triple press. Any of those can launch the default voice assistant on your phone or a Spotify playlist. I'm hoping they add more options like either launching other apps or even using it for next or previous track with one press for instance. As much as I don't mind double and triple pressing the middle button on the right I think a single press on the left button would be a great option to offer! I'm hoping they add that with an app update.
Also, they do not advertise noise canceling as a feature of this so I'm not sure if I got lucky but I've used it a number of times where there was background noise and the people I'm talking with don't seem to hear it. The mic seems to have excellent pick-up as people hear me well with it also - and I hear them loud and clear.

Quality sound that stays in ears.

Only had these for about a week so far. But i really like the Adidas headphones. I have had collar style Bluetooth and they are ok. But as a professional detailer. I wanted a set that stayed in my ears better. These headphones stay in! Push/Twist into the ear...they stay there till you are ready to take them out. And while they are very comfortable to wear. After 5+ hours of listening while working, your ears will feel odd for a minute after removing them. But it's not a bad thing, probably should try one of the other ear sizes included in the bag.
As for sound quality. They sound great. Audio is clear and crisp. More than enough bass being pumped straight to your head. And be careful not to max them out. They can get too loud! Even when I took a call, caller said audio was clear. You will want to use the app to track battery and use the equalizer presets in the app, but oddly don't see a way to play your own MP3 files within the app(Spotify is listed). Once connected and playing music from your player of choice. Get going with work or workout. I'm 5 days in and only charged it twice(always charge before initial use). So the 16+ hours of use is very doable at this point.
My only concern is the material that wraps the wire between earpieces. Not sure of exact material(cotton/synthetic), but it feels like a very tight knit shoelace(it is Adidas after all). Sweating might make the material a bit funky...but I'm the only user. Guess I'll just hit it with a mist of sanitizer.

While I knew that Adidas puts out sports accessories, I was unaware that they also offered headphones. I was eager to find if they would focus on style or quality -or both. So, here are my thoughts about the Adidas FWD-01 Wireless Headphones.
Included in the package you will find documents, additional wingtips and ear tips, a short charging cable, a carrying bag, and of course, the headphones. The carrying bag is of very good quality neoprene material which seems very sturdy and should keep the headphones safe and easy to put away in any pocket. It has a small side pocket for storing the charging cable and folds over to keep it closed.
The headphones themselves also seem very rugged and durable. They are made of hard rubber and feature a matte rough texture with the logo that makes them look almost dirty. But in the end, I found their asymmetrical looks kind of charming. The FWD-01’s are easy to place in the ears but protrude quite a bit. However, once I found the right tips/wing combo, they felt very comfortable. They are a bit heavier than what I’m used to but once I wore them for a little while, I stopped noticing them. The tips are not jammed into the ear canal but rather lay into it and they do not block ambient noise, which is one of their selling points. They are IPX4 water-resistant so sweat was not an issue when doing exercise. Speaking of exercise, I took them out free-running, jumping, flipping and climbing and they stayed put and never fell or needed to be readjusted. The fabric cord, which by the way looks like an actual shoelace, and some may not like it, never bothered me. When not in the ear, the headphones can rest around the neck and the heads stick magnetically together, although this is hit-or-miss. Only time will tell if the braided jacket withstands wear/tear and sweat.
Adidas claims that they have 16-hours playtime. I’ve used them for a week and I charged them only twice. By the way, I am very impressed that they have USB-C for fast charging which makes them future proof. The cord features the usual volume, play/pause and on/off/pairing buttons on the right side and a customizable single button on the left for either voice assistance, play specific Spotify playlists and so on. This is done through an Adidas’ app which is available for both Android and iOS.
As far as sound is concerned, these sound really, really good. Right out of the box, the sound was very vibrant and exciting. The bass is powerful, punchy without being overbearing. The mid-range is a tad bit recessed but certainly there, giving vocals some presence. The highs are very clear and not shrill. I can always change the sound signature by going into the app but I found that the original “Adidas” setting worked wonderfully for me. These are designed for ambient awareness as they do not plug the ear. As a sport-oriented headphone, I thought they would fail me when I commuted by train which is super loud and to the climbing gym as they tend to blast music. I was extremely surprised that these still blocked most sound and I didn’t have to raise the volume all the way up. While I could still hear a lot of outside noise, it didn’t impede my overall listening enjoyment.
So in the end, I was pleasantly surprised that Adidas did not cut any corners in sound and build quality for the sake of branding. I still think these are a bit on the expensive side, which is one of the few negatives, but I believe that once you try them, you will be happy you have them.

Sporty set of earbuds

Whenever ever you see the brand Adidas, one is almost always given the impression of a premium sportswear brand. However, when one encounters electronics associated with this brand, quite often it is thought that it is often a shallow attempt as a brand extension of the famed sportswear line. Not so with the FWD-01, one of two audio products manufactured with Zound a respectable Swedish audio company.
The FWD-01 is sleak designed pair of winged earbuds by Adidas. The earbuds themselves resembled angles similar to stealth airplanes and sports a grayish color. It has a flat cord which is covered in cloth compared to the usual rubber cords of most wired earbuds. These are IPX5 rated meaning that they are sweat proof which is ideal for sports minded people who want to wear earbuds while working out. And while may notice that the earbuds are on the bulky side, these have the benefit of having a battery life of 16 hours which is twice than the usual 8-hour battery life a definite plus. It has the usual three button controls found in wireless headsets and a dedicated button of voice activated commands. And to further enhance its functions, an app both available for iOS and Android can be downloaded in their respective app stores though you can use the earbuds themselves without using the app.
With regard to sound, the mids and highs are pretty clear and bass is fairly decent. While the average bass levels may not impress bass aficionados, over-all the FWD-01 offers a crisp sound experience. The earbuds also have USB-C which is the current trend in devices nowadays and comes with a neoprene pouch for storage.
And while the price may not be exactly cheap, other earbuds offer similar features thus not giving the FWD-01 a competitive advantage. Given that I would still recommend this for those who want a sporty set of earbuds but I would have to remove one star for this review.

I really like these headphones for a number of reasons. They are not excessively heavy for a set of wireless headphones, they hold a charge for a good amount of time, they are easy to charge (USB), they are comfortable to wear (different size ear tips included), they have good high and low range, they work well for phone calls, and I like the cloth material that wraps the wires (comfortable + avoids tangled wires).
I really only have positive things to say about these...

These are comfortable, solid earbuds. The tips are very nice (and come with multiple sizes), and they stay in your ear quite well. I can run, shake my head around, etc. and they don't fall out, which, to me, is the most important facet of earbuds. Sound quality is good and noise reduction isn't so complete that you can't hear when someone needs to get your attention. Battery life is pretty good, mine were still going strong after a little over 14 1/2 hours. I have no doubt that they will do close to the claimed 16 hours. I like the braided cord between. It allows you to remove one while conversing and have your hands free. The secure-fit and braided cord are designed for exercising. The cord houses the well integrated buttons which control connections and volume. These are overall good headphones, but I would look for them when they are on sale.

Got these just in time for our long out of town trip. We are very impressed with these. They are extremely comfortable and come with multiple ear peices to adjust as needed. The battery life is beyond fantastic!!! We are still on our first charge and have been using them nonstop for 3 days! There is an app that you download that goes along with these. The interface is very user friendly. It shows the battery life on the headphones and also has an equalizer. Having a custom equalizer sets these headphones apart from the competition.
The only downside to these is that the controls on them are a little close to the ear peice. It sometimes gets caught on my shirt and pulls it out.

Setup:
Headset were very easy to set it up even with fact that I could not locate suggested application (getting error not found), but it works fine without installing any additional applications.
Design:
Very interesting design which I must say surprised me a little bit. It has dirty look which was surprising for the moment until I realized same thing on the picture (at box label).
Overview:
Sound quality is very good and based on that I would recommend this product. Battery life it’s extremely good and I been using mine few hours a day for 3 days in the row on single charge. Being water resistant makes them even better. As I said I believe this is very good product which I would gladly recommend UNLESS you have small ears as I do. My problem is that earbuds are little big for my small ears and I have very hard time to insert them in and most of the time they are actually falling out (being pushed out by ear itself). Honestly this happens all the time, even when I am sitting still which makes me sad because they are meant for running. I tried to use all inserts included in the packaging and outcome is always same for me.

Hey I know my "surprisingly awesome" comment as a header makes you wonder why are you surprised? Well ive tried almost every kind of ear buds, headphones etc. I have even taken part in a kickstarted for one that offered in ear heart rate monitoring...
This Adidas surprised me as I think i like them the best when it comes to design! I love how the cord feels great against my skin especially when jogging and where the buttons are. I also love the 16 hour battery life which I have tested (mostly walking and a little jogging) and it was around 15 hours before I decided I should charge it but I could have easily taken it to more then 16 i am sure.
Sound wise? I think you wont be disappointed with the sound at all. They come with a cool pouch and many tips for all different ear types. I ended up using the smallest ones and they still never fell off or gave me any issues. I guess I wont be buying just adidas sportswear anymore as these can compete with some of my favorite in ear headphones.
I guess the only issue I had was being so used to using ear buds (no cord) that it was weird getting used to it initially but the good thing about it I experienced zero Bluetooth connectivity unlike my favorite ear buds that seem to be positional when i put them in my shorts pocket and drop off at times.
Overall great item that looks amazing and works great.

Setting up the Adidas - FWD-01 Wireless In-Ear Headphones took less than 5 minutes and that included downloading the user friendly app from Google Play Store, and pairing the unit to my cell phone.
The chord is a flat knit and will not tangle. The buttons have a rubbery tactile feel that are easy to locate and use. The center button is multipurpose and is easy to get used to.
With a full charge Adidas boasts up to 16 hours of use, and I believe them. After 6 hours use I am at 80% power. Not bad at all.
4 different sized ear buds ensures a comfortable fit. Comfy but maybe not the most secure at times. With the connecting cord losing a bud isn't an issue.
The sound is good, leaning towards the flat side, but in the app setting the EQ is simple to customize to the users likings.
One thing. I wish the Adidas - FWD-01 Wireless In-Ear Headphones had an indicator to let ya know when you're charging or have a full charge. However that info is available in the app as well.
All in all the Adidas - FWD-01 Wireless In-Ear Headphones are a good value offering long life and better than average sound.
Pretty cool stocking stuffer!!
Cheers!

This is the first ever Adidas audio product that I have tested in my life. Initial impression is that it serves its purpose.
Battery life is brilliant. It says 16 hours and I am not questioning it at this point.
Design is rugged enough for a device like this. The cord will withstand pressure, sweat, and other vagaries, within limits. Remember the purpose for this one and you will appreciate its design.
Choose your piece size so that it will feel comfortable. There are about 4-5 options.
Honestly, the main body is heavier than some in the market. So it will feel cumbersome if one has the tendency to go to sleep with the headphones on.
Connection is great. I tested with the bluetooth and it worked flawlessly. Download the app and it will be a bonus.
Audio quality is good for me as I mainly listen to podcasts. Music sounded good. Is it as good as a Bose equivalent? Probably not.
Honestly, I will ask if this has the appropriate value at this price point. It may not, for some. For others, it may.

Good quality headphones, these Adidas wireless headphones have been better than expected, everything about them feels premium, the cable that connects both earpieces and goes behind your neck is flat, which means it won’t tangle.
Comes in a nice case with different size ear tips. These headphones are very rugged and look like they won’t break easy.
Adidas claim these can last for 16 hours on a single battery charge, at this point they have lasted me all day and I think I still have a few more hours left in them so I’m pretty sure that statement by them is accurate.
These headphones sound good and will not distort sound even at its highest sound level.
I feel like these headphones were made for active people that use them while jogging, going to the gym etc. that’s why they still have the cable that connects one year piece to the other and were made rugged and the ear pieces prevent them from falling out of your ears. Overall very happy with this product.
I would recommend this to a friend

I was pleasantly surprised with these! Although I don't go to the gym I do travel frequently and am always looking for something to listen to music / watch movies while on the plane. Everything I find has cords that get tangled in my hair, purse, computer bag etc. and it happens while everyone is waiting for me to get my stuff and get off the plane! These are perfect. The cord is just long enough to go around your neck, nothing extra. Falls where an 18" necklace would. They are magnetic and once "hooked" you forget they are there. While they are in your ear you forget they are there too … so comfortable. I went all around my house while the phone stayed in the office and they stayed connected with no loss of signal. And did I say they don't get tangled in my hair... fantastic.
