Help
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am having a little trouble learning to use this software. When I try to edit photos I am having trouble moving them into the program. Guess I need to spend some time on YouTube. I wouldn't recommend it now but the jury is still out.

Good to wade in....
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good step into the world of Photoshop and Premiere editing with out being totally overwhelmed. Photoshop elements works well for editing photos with several filters to give the pictures a little pop to them. Premiere worked well to do some light video editing and making photo montages. I still have a lot to learn and there are several tutorials to go through to learn more. Overall I am happy with the purchase and look forward to using it more!

It's ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was either this or rent Lightroom for a year with the new camera. I also wanted something for video. I haven't tried the video program yet. I hope it lives up to the marketing hype.

Could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a older version and this one to me does about the same. Also you can only send one photo email at a time. Old version more than one.

Great software for non-pros
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started using Photoshop elements 3 and now after many years I had the opportunity to upgrade to Photoshop Elements/Premier Elements. This app is amazing! I finally have time to enjoy photography because of my new DSLR paired with this program and I am having a lot of fun with the powerful easy to use tools. I like this program because it is consumer friendly and now has built in tutorials for image manipulations. If you are looking for a powerful photo editing software but are not a professional photographer, then this program is for you. It also includes video editing software that is awesome. I am having fun with editing my phone videos. What is also cool is the organizing software for photos and videos. The only downside is how much space it takes up in your hard drive, almost 6GB. This program also has touch screen support which would be cool if my mac had touchscreen. I will also use this on my iPad Air Pro to use the touchscreen features. Overall this is a must have program for your photo and video editing needs!!

Great for beginners
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photoshop and Premiere Elements are the basic versions of Adobe's more robust Photoshop and Premiere photo and video editing software. To start with, if you choose to download the software for installation, you will need an Adobe account to which you'll be registering your keys. I found the process relatively straightforward though disappointed that an account was required just to install it. Photoshop Elements itself is a great beginning program to start using the power of photoshop in a more basic way. It will do more than anything that comes with Windows (Paint) and even most of the free and paid for software in the same price range. If you're looking to 'photoshop' something, apply basic filters, work with layers and many other things, this is the thing for you at a fraction of the cost of the full edition of Adobe Photoshop. Definitely worthwhile to get your feet wet in the world of graphic design. Premiere Elements is to Videos what Photoshop is to graphics. It is a video editing suite of tools to allow you to put together video in whatever way you see fit. It is more powerful than the basic Windows Movie Maker. You can use it to splice together pictures and create a slideshow to music, edit video you've taken yourself and even apply filters and such. It's very straightforward and should suffice for the average home user when working with videos you've taken with your cell phone. Overall this is a good beginner suite of software for most video and graphics/photo editing. Again my only disappointment was that it required an Adobe account to even install it.

A Great Package for Photo and Video Editing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was a snap for both programs, especially if you already have an Adobe ID. If you don't, creating one is a snap. Adobe Premiere Elements allows you a full range of video editing options, more than suitable for your average home movie editing, all the way to a successful Youtuber. It features several modes, including an automatic movie maker, a guided mode, and an expert mode. The expert mode does have a learning curve, and can take com time to get used to, but for simpler edits, this will do. If you are looking for complex motion tracking and/or complex greenscreening, also known as chromakey, then you'll probably want to spring for the pro edition of Adobe Premier, vs. the Elements version. Adobe Photoshop Elements, like its Premiere counterpart, has less features than the pro version of Adobe Photoshop, but for your average user, it is more than suitable. It features a full spectrum of photo editing, including photo organization, quick fixes, color correction and removal, and more. It can also create text from your photos, can create excellent collages, and can even turn a frown upside down (literally). The filters also allow a lot of photo manipulation, allowing you to make photos look like drawings, give them a cartoonish look, or even make them black-and-white. This is an excellent package for anyone who wants to get into video/photo editing, and will do many of the features automatically if you want to take the guess-work out of the job.

Good for average users
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used Adobe Suite for years and I'm surprised how much you get out the Element package. Obviously it won't be as robust as the Adobe CC suite, but for those that are looking for something easy to use then these are great and at a much lower cost. Both software are easy to use, even in expert mode (I recommend starting in expert to unhide all the menu and tools). This package, along with some other drawing software, does what I need, and I find myself less inclined to pay the monthly fee for CC. Photoshop Elements has most of the main editing features you get from the pro version, and is enough for most to edit their photos. It's lacking the advance painting features, but that's is to be expected. When doing quick edits, I might jump ship from CC to Elements for the simplicity of it. I don't do much video editing and have some experience with Premiere Pro doing basic editing. Elements has enough features for me to do the types of video I usually do, which are mostly simple keyframe transitions and opacity. I'm glad to see that those are available with Elements. You have to be in expert mode and open up the various drop down menus to really be able to see what it can do. There's a bit of a learning curve but it's not as complicated as it may seem and it's a good introduction to the pro version. For the little video work that I do, I'll probably stick with this forgo the monthly fee for Premiere Pro.

Better than I was expecting!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photoshop and Premiere Elements are Adobe’s consumer version of their professional Photoshop CC and Premiere Pro CC applications. One of the good things about Elements is it is still available as a one-time purchase whereas the Adobe CC software suite is subscription based only. This particular bundle includes both applications and for both the Windows and Mac platforms. A disc for each application is included in the box or you can choose the option to do an electronic download. Even though my desktop has a disc drive I decided to do the electronic download because internet speeds have gotten to the point where it’s faster to do so. You still have to install both applications separately. I decided to install this on my Windows 10 PC as my Mac already has Photoshop CC and Lightroom on it. Being a hobbyist photographer I use these two applications frequently. I have not used the Elements software before. With Photoshop Elements you can do basic adjustments such as rotating, cropping, resizing, exposure, lighting, color saturation/hue/balance, temperature, tint, and sharpening. There are a lot of automatic touch up features such as tone, levels, contrast, haze removal, color correction, shake reduction, sharpen, straighten, whiten teeth, and redeye. There is also a surprising amount of filters available which can give your image an artistic look. Some of these features such as the spot healing brush and quick selection tool work really well. You can remove things like power lines or a pimple on someone’s face and it does a really good job of blending the surroundings in so that it’s indistinguishable that anything was ever there. I was able to use the quick selection tool and the blur filter to quickly mask my license plate on a photo of my truck. Since I have used the professional version for so long at first I found Photoshop Elements to be lackluster until I dived in and started really using some of the tools it offers. I came away impressed. If you are someone who only takes photos on your cell phone or point and shoot camera and likes to share those photos on social media then this software will cover your needs. However, if you have invested in a DSLR, have an interest in photography, or printing out your photos on a large canvas I highly recommend doing a trial of both Elements and Photoshop CC and decide which one best fits your needs. I do much more photo editing than video but I have used Premiere Pro (before it was CC) and other video editing applications in the past. For me, most of the videos I create are family videos that I might show everyone during the holidays so my needs are very basic. I typically need to put many clips together, trim them, and add some music and possibly a voice over. Premiere Elements seems to provide these features and more. It has a timeline with separate tracks for video, titles/graphics, audio, and music. I have used really basic video editors in the past that did not have a timeline and I found them very difficult to use, so this is definitely a plus. Not only does it have a timeline but when you change it from Quick mode to Expert you can add as many video and audio tracks as you want. For me, I plan on using the professional Photoshop for for my photos but using this version of Premiere Elements for video editing. It has everything I need.

Great for beginners
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are thinking about getting involved with Photoshop, this is for you. This software is really easy to use, and reminds me so much of the photo editing app that I have on my phone. It's that easy to get started, but packed with many more features. I did have issues downloading the software to my computer because I do not have a CD drive, but who does these days. It was a bit of a headache trying to get this software downloaded correctly, but I was eventually able to do so. The instructions provided on the Adobe website were of very little help. I am using this on a touchscreen laptop, and really like to have control of the editing features with the touch of a finger. This is probably the only reason that I loaded onto my HP laptop over my Mac Book. The only thing that I disliked about this software was the fact that it gets complicated trying to download it to my computer. If you have a CD drive, it might be easier and faster, but if not, be prepared to spend some time on it. For advanced Photoshop users, I would not recommend this software.

Good but missing some features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First lets get it out that these are not the full versions of there prospective pro tools. The elements name is designed for a more affordable and less experienced home user. Both Photoshop and Premiere elements get the job done for simple task that you may need to do. Stuff like cleaning up some of your vacation photos, or making a nice home video of uncle Joe's birthday bash. But if you are looking for a more full featured editing tool set for either photos or video you might want to take a step up to Creative cloud and pay the monthly fee. That being said I love the tools that are provided in both products. They make the whole process of editing your photos and videos and just make it happen. The user interface is very simplified and that makes it easy to find the tools that you are looking for, for those simple cleanup or edit projects. I like how Adobe integrates a tutorial system for those users who may be new to the software as well. This makes it easy to learn some of the basic functions that you are going to use the software for. I also like how there is a quick and expert mode. Quick mode makes it fast and easy to do simple things while expert mode gives you a little more granularity.
