I do not find this software easy to use. It is not intuitive and manuals lack step by step instructions on how to do things. I want to make a slide show but instructions are not very informative.

Being a light user of video/photo editing software, I’ve found this to be an easy to use photo and video editing program. There is a learning curve, as with most new programs, but everything is positioned in a logical layout and is easy to find. I do suggest a completely new to editing user to find some short tutorial videos online to get you started. I like the guided editing options available, they make it easier to get a professional looking photo or movie without having to be a professional editor. I love the Remix editor to build photo and video collages, it’s easy and impressive, something to share on Social Media. I like that there is touch screen editing available and it works well with my laptop. I also like the smart tag features which allows you to search your collection based on keywords that are automatically assigned to the photos. There is a lot you can do with this but it is for a more relaxed basic user, perfect for me.

I've always wanted to be able to edit videos for the family, but I've never had a tool that was this easy to use. With Premiere Elements, transitions and text are relatively simple to create and edit. The Organizer tool does a great job of recognizing faces and keeping photos and videos organized. I can easily pick a name from the Organizer, and see every picture with that person tagged. With my 10k+ list of photos, I still have some verifications to make, but most of my photos were automatically detected. I have 3 daughters that look similar during their similar ages, so there was some overlap, but the software has done a great job so far. Of course, for photo editing, Photoshop Elements makes many normally difficult edits very quick and easy. It truly is amazing how quickly we can get things done to our library of photos with this tool.

The install for both Premier and Photoshop was easy. I was THRILLED when it asked if I wanted to pull files from an old version of Elements. And it did it quickly! This was my favorite aspect! Easy to find photos on card or file. Uploads photos really quickly! Very intuitive and user friendly. My only complaint was that I couldn’t figure out how to create a new folder without doing so when uploading the photos. For example, when I have shot a family and want to divide it up into folders for each individual person. That was not easy to figure out how to make happen. I'm really happy to have it; would definitely recommend!

This combo grabs the Elements versions of the cornerstone softwares for both Editing Photos and Editing Videos - Adobe's Photoshop and Premiere programs. Each of these are one of, if not THE best packages on the market that do what they do. The Elements line is Adobe's reach back to the home users; a nod to the little guys, a lower cost version for someone who might not use it every day or need quite as much power as the full fledged (and EXPENSIVE) versions cost. In this regard they have hit the nail right on the head. Price point is awesome and the features are all there. Where this falls down is when we install it (or if you have windows 10, try a few times before getting it installed) and then the fun begins. Both Photoshop and Permiere are scaled down versions of the full software. It feels very much like they went in and removed advanced features, rather than built this from the ground up. They include three modes Easy, Guided, and Expert. If you find yourself seeking expert mode often, you're probably a candidate for full on Photoshop or Premiere. The part that keeps this program from being 5 stars in my mind is hard it is to find the tools or the name of what I want to do to a photo. Because this program is fully baked in the Photoshop/Premiere world, they've named and placed almost everything where it exists in the non Elements version of the software. This is GREAT if you view the Elements versions as a gateway, a stepping stone, a next step to becoming fully immersed in the Adobe world. If you're not taking that plunge... it adds a layer of difficulty that isn't needed. Overall this software is very good, more powerful perhaps than it needs to be, uses some guided and easy user modes to try and get you to what you want to do. It errs on the side of a little to close to the full on versions, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but makes it harder to use for a first timer.

I'm really enjoying this program. I have been taking pictures with my NIKON DSLR for the past 2 years. I use my camera at my family events. I have never utilized a program such as photoshop to clean up my pics until now and I have to say that it makes my pictures POP! This program really cleans up a lot of the noise and over saturation of colors. I like being able to clean up my pictures. I have been asked if a few of my shots were done professionally. I would definitely recommend this product, its easy to use and has many presets that will clean up any photo you have on your PC or harddrive.

Photoshop just keeps getting better. The fact I can "turn a frown upside down" makes me say wow. Online or free options are out there, but they can't quite match what you can get from Adobe. Every year they add something little that makes it worth every penny if you are into great photos or videos. Maybe it is just me, but the interface seems to be getting more intuitive each generation of the product I have moved up to. My last version was 10, and this is like night and day. It turned my frown upside down. :D

I take a lot of pictures and videos. And I have used basic stock apps or features to put different effects on my pictures or videos. This software was a nice upgrade to really make my pictures have a theme or make a collage. It's nice to play around with all the different editing features. Easy to use, love that I can share any of the creations with family and friends. This is going to be very useful with all the holiday pictures and videos. Great way to expand on your memories.

This is a great bundle for those needing straight forward video and photo editing, though some missing features will leave those needing more professional level editing opting for Adobe's more expensive Photoshop/Premier versions. Adobe has done a decent job of porting over some of the more popular features from their professional level products (the facial feature adjustment is novel, but surprisingly works pretty well). They've also done a great job of creating an easy to use interface, with guided edits which walk you through editing your content in a step-by-step fashion. This will be a huge plus for amateurs not familiar with how to use Photoshop. One of the better features for editing is the touchscreen integration, which will be a huge plus for anyone with a Windows 10 touchscreen machine. Lastly, the integrated organization software works quite well and includes a feature called "Smart Tags" which adds some contextual searching to your library (this will be familiar to anyone that's used Google Photos). Whether this suite will be for you depends on which features you need. Most likely, professional photographers/editors will need some important features not present in the Elements package, notably the absence of key RAW editing features like lens correction/chromatic aberrations correction. This is a great bundle for those looking for more advanced editing ability than you'll find on something like smartphones, or those who need simple editing on something other than a Mac, but don't need the wealth of editing abilities present in Adobe's more expensive software.

The total software package containing Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements work very well together, I was expecting a lot less function for the retail price. I loaded the software on my PC first and everything went well with the install and Windows 10. I really enjoyed how fast the install and first startup took, I was not wasting half my free time getting it setup. Photoshop Elements made quick work to mass amounts of pictures after I went outside and took 50 snap shots, 25 with my Pixel XL and 25 with a Canon T4i. I was really impressed how well it cleared up the photos and made quick work to bring out the colors, especially since the leaves are falling. Premier Elements also made quick work to a few videos I grabbed with my Pixel XL. The software does what it says, all the haze was magically gone, I was amazed. Also, the clarity on my 4K TV was undoubtedly the best home movie I have ever made. I also installed it on my Mac, this is where the deduction from 5 stars comes from. The install was slow, and startup began crashing my 6 month old Mac Book Pro. I had to try it on my wife's MBP as well, it did the same thing, it took a bunch of searching to figure out that I had to force stop all programs from running before the first launch, never heard of this before but it worked. The interface on both machines is very easy to navigate, anyone that can click a mouse button can make pictures and videos look like a pro, easy peasy I can honestly say for the hobbyist, this software cannot be matched for the price and I will continue using it a lot.

Mac: Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 and Premiere

I’m an advanced Premiere and Photoshop user for more than 20 years, so I was interested to see how Adobe had “slimmed down” the program for users. I’ve never tried any of the Elements products before, because I believed that the built-in apps on my Mac like iMovie and Photos were sufficient for basic needs. So I was eager to see how Adobe balanced ease-of-use with sophistication for more advanced projects. After trying out both products, I think that Adobe made a clear choice to make these packages easy to use for beginners and still build in enough options for creative choices. Some of my favorite features in Photoshop Elements 15 include the facial recognition features, location tagging, and new features for touch screen use. As for Premiere Elements 15, I like the social networking features, easy-to-use controls for haze, facial recognition, and simplified handling of mixed formats. My one disappointment for Premiere Elements is that it doesn’t make use of the video processing power from my video card. My one criticism: it took me a while to find the serial number for registering the product. Adobe saw fit to put it on the back of the install CD envelope for the Windows’ version, but not on the Mac CD. I had already put the Windows’ CD back in the box, thinking I would not be needing it. Really? Too hard to put a sticker on each CD? To complicate things, their Web help points you to THREE possible places that may contain the serial number.

I've owned previous versions of Photoshop CS but never really dug into it because I always found myself having to reference a video or a book to do anything. I like this suite because it's a softer introduction to photo editing. You can get tutorials directly through the software which make it a little less intimidating to use. Still digging into all the corners but enjoying it so far.

I’ve been wanting a software to take photo editing to the next level. I take most of my photos on my cell phone but the ones I do take on my sony Ns7, I usually edit via my cell phone. Now I use my tablet to take advantage of touchscreen editing features and I love creating photo and video collages for family and friends. I DJ on the side and when I provide music I also take photos to give to the customer. I enjoy editing these photos with photoshop elements 15. It’s easy to use if you are used to Photoshop of some sort. Doesn’t take much space on my computer. I’ve noticed too that my photos have the options to be really organized, so that I don’t spend a lot time looking for something specific. Motion blur feature is really cool for sports shots. Again when I take photos for other people I include a frame and there are plenty of frame options on this software. One thing I don’t like is the slow importing system, if I want to import a large amount of photos, I have to leave it running and come back to it. On a consumer level operating system, this is worth it. However, if you use it for a large business you might want to invest more or pay someone to do the work.

The PhotoShop and Premier Elements 15 combo package is a pretty good consumer-grade suite for photo retouching and video production. The Photoshop program provides all of the necessary tools in a clean and easy to navigate interface for simple retouching of family snapshots. The Premier program, which is also clean and easy to navigate, produces great looking videos using a multi-layer timeline and plenty of options for image correction, transitions, titles and soundtracks as well as many options for output of your final product. Both programs start quickly and have so far proven stable for me. The only issue I had: Both pieces of software would not install from the included discs. I had to download trial versions from Adobe then convert them to licensed copies. Still uncertain if this was the fault of the program or a quirk in my particular computer (Windows 10 Pro 64-bit).
